Five Smart Turkeys

Oh, five smart turkeys are we.

We slept all night in a tree.

When the cook came around, we

couldn’t be found.

And that’s why we’re here, you see!

Oh, four smart turkeys we are,

We hid beneath the cook’s car.

When the car key was turned, our

feathers got burned,

And smelled like a bad cigar.

Oh, three smart turkeys were keen.

We hid in a washing machine.

Though we’re covered with soap, we have

lots of hope.

We’re not only safe, we’re clean!

Oh, two smart turkeys are here.

The cook is getting too near.

So we went to the zoo and found lots

to do-

We’re getting a new … career.

Oh, one smart turkey am I.

To leave, I just learned to fly.

When the cook went to bed, I circled his

head.

And splattered him with a pie.

Oh, five smart turkeys are we.

And that’s why we’re here, you see!
