COURSE OBJECTIVE
By nature, Biomedical Engineering is an
interdisciplinary endeavor. The fundamental
knowledge in various fields of engineering and
science are applied to find solutions to various
problems in healthcare and medicine. It is not
surprising, therefore, that faculty from
Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering,
Instrumentation Engineering, Mathematics,
Physics, and Chemistry are involved in diverse
range of research problems in the field that
transcends department boundaries. A faculty
development program on Research areas in
Biomedical Engineering is aimed at
introducing the possible research avenues in
the felid of Biomedical Engineering and will be
an opportunity for the faculty who are
interested in interdisciplinary areas where
they can apply their expertise to solve
problems in medicine and health care. The
programme will surely help prospective
research scholars to take up a topic for their
research as well as introducing new directions
for those who are involved in research.
Resource Persons:
Eminent academicians from IITM/CMC/IISc/
SCTIMST and experts from industry will be
handling the sessions.
