Event History

FIU FBLA-PBL BUSINESS OLYMPICS COMPETITIVE-2

Year One

In 2010, FIU Phi Beta Lambda launched its

first ever university wide competitive event

offering students over 50 competitions to

compete in. Participants who participated in

performance events were expose to recruiters

from companies such Target, Pepsi Beverages

Company, and Enterprise Holdings. This al-

lowed these students to demonstrate their

skills and talents in front of people with hiring

power.

Year Two

A successful first event led to high demands from the FIU student body. Thus, for a second

year in a row FIU FBLA-PBK hosted the

annual Business Olympics. With new com-

petitions and judges representing the state

and national levels of FBLA-PBL, students

exposed their talents to individuals with

years of judging experience. Furthermore,

students in performance events received

feedback on how to strengthen essential

skills such as interviewing and public

speaking.

Year Three

With the unification of the eleven business organization into the Student Leadership Group,

organizations are stronger than ever. This year’s Business Olympics offers new events and

more opportunities for students to receive exposure.
