Description The first-year University Transfer Computing Science and Software Systems Certificate provides students with the opportunity to explore options and demonstrate success at the first-year level of university studies.
This one-year certificate is fully transferable to SFU’s Computing Science and Software Systems Degree using the existing college transfer criteria for admission. Students may also attempt admission at other institutions, such as UBC’s BSc in Computer Science or BA in Computer Science. The courses and GPA required for transfer to other institutions may vary at transfer.
Admission Requirements Grade 12 graduation or equivalent English proficiency requirement: - English 12 with a C+ or higher, or - Academic IELTS 6.5 (no band less than 6.0), or - TOEFL iBT 80 (Speaking 20, Listening 20, Reading 20, Writing 20) Pre-Calculus 12 with a B Physics 12, or Chemistry 12, or Biology 12, with a C+
