Overview
Bridgnorth Food Bank
commenced operating from our
distribution centre at Number
Seven, West Castle Street on 4th February 2013.
As a voluntary organisation, sponsored and
supported by the Christian Churches in the area,
we work with local community groups, businesses
and organisations plus various agencies to
provide emergency assistance to those in need.
We supply a range of food and non-food items
for families and individuals as appropriate.
We are open every Monday (including Bank
Holidays) from 10:30 - 12:30.

PR, Publicity & Fundraising Throughout the year we have benefitted from excellent press and radio
coverage especially in relation to our Fundraising activities.
We’re indebted to over 20
agencies who have referred
clients to us.
Bridgnorth Food Bank aims
to provide short-term
assistance and 74% of
clients do not require our
help after a 1 month period.
However in recent weeks
we have noticed an
increase in the length of
support required often due
to complications or delays
with Benefits Support.
Whilst our primary “target
area” is Bridgnorth we have
helped other people from
neighbouring areas as and
when we can.
Because some people in
rural communities aren’t
easily able to get to
Bridgnorth when we are
open, we are now looking at
ways of providing more local
collection points.
Please note: the analysis above excludes the 40+ emergency
food parcels issued on our behalf by participating agencies.

Contributions & Donations
We are extremely grateful to the following for helping us by providing food
and other items and/or financial donations. Many of the churches and
schools donated items collected from their Harvest Celebrations whilst
others have held specific fundraising activities.
In addition there are numerous individuals - too many to list here - who have
regularly donated produce and financial help, often on a regular weekly or
monthly basis. We thank you all for your generosity.
If you would like to make a financial donation and you are a UK tax payer,
as part of Torchbearers Trust (registered charity 1000113), we are able to
reclaim Gift Aid increasing your donation by 25% without any further cost to
you. Please download a Gift Aid Declaration from the website or contact us
for more details.
