All of us want to live life at its best, to find purpose, meaning, freedom, and excellence. Yet, so often we instead end up with routine, unfulfilling lives. In Christ, God calls us to experience the life we were created to live. One of the books of the Bible that helps us see this is the book of Jeremiah. Beginning April 16 and running through the summer, we will be reflecting on this book of Scripture and how it leads us to experience the fullness of life in Christ. Hope to see you there!

Easter Pageant“Jesus, Healer of Body
& Soul”
Our Easter Pageant will be presented to our community in four performances; Friday and Saturday, April 11 & 12, 18 & 19 at 7 pm nightly.
The April 11th performance will be interpreted for our deaf audience.
Please be in prayer for the cast members, choir and persons working behind the scene to make this a successful ministry to our community. Invite your friends, relatives and neighbors to come to one of the pageant presentations.
Palms When Jesus entered Jerusalem days before his death, crowds welcomed him by waving palm
branches, which were common symbols of victory and rejoicing. Thus churches continue to use them in remembrance of that occasion, knowing that Jesus' crucifixion was ultimately his triumph over sin and death. As early as Leviticus 23:40, God commanded Israel to use palms in a festival of rejoicing. In Revelation 7:9-10, Christian martyrs carry palm branches as
they praise the Lamb before the throne of God.

To all of the Sweet Members at First Baptist Church,
Thank you so very much for the beautiful fresh flower arrangement that Mary Shively dropped by. It is certainly a beautiful bouquet of love. As I think of my dad’s passing it is a picture of II Cor. 5:17 where it says “If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; the old has gone, behold the new has come.” He loved Jesus and was a new creation before death but he is “new” altogether now! It is glorious to think about him in that way.
With much loveTeri Basnett

Dear First Baptist Church,
Thank you for your recent gift to Coyote Hill. We have 21 active children in our homes right now. Your gift allows each of these kids a chance to experience love and support.
Thank you for helping us care for kids every day.
