psalm 122(8am service)I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’And now our feet are standing within your gates, O Jerusalem;Jerusalem, built as a city that is at unity in itself.Thither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, as is decreed for Israel,to give thanks to the name of the Lord. For there are set the thrones of judgement, the thrones of the house of David. O pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May they prosper who love you.‘Peace be within your walls and tranquillity within your palaces.’For my kindred and companions’ sake, I will pray that peace be with you.For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek to do you good.

Junior Church Christmas initiative 2019 IMPORTANT UPDATE

Thank you for the many donations of items and money for both of our initiatives to date. Keep on collecting and donating Our first charity is Bromley Homeless Shelter. It is open for Christmas and throughout the winter months. Our plan is to collect and wrap 12 shoe boxes and fill them with toiletries, underwear, socks, nibbles, scarves, gloves and hats to give to those who are in the shelter over Christmas. We will continue this initiative until the shelter closes.

Secondly we will collect and wrap 10 to 12 shoe boxes and fill them with toys, books, stationery, chocolate and sweets for Bromley Children Project which helps disadvantaged families with advice and support including parenting courses.

Finally - Bromley Brighter Beginnings.  We managed to deliver 6 children’s boxes this week to go in the hampers that the charity is making up for the Bromley and Croydon Women’s Aid Domestic Violence Refuge. They were very gratefully received. Many thanks. intercessions For those who are sick:

collect Almighty God,give us grace to cast away the works of darknessand to put on the armour of light, now in the time of this mortal life,in which your Son Jesus Christ came to us in great humility; that on the last day, when he shall come again in his glorious majestyto judge the living and the dead,we may rise to the life immortal;through him who is alive and reigns with you,in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen
