Summer Choir

Reminder that choir will meet at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays instead of Thursday for a short rehearsal be-fore worship at 10:00 (Thursday rehearsals will resume September 6). All welcome! All ages and lev-els of experience are encouraged to come when you can. We will learn the introit and psalm for the day, and perhaps an easy anthem.

Also, let me know if you are willing and able to offer an anthem in worship, as a soloist or part of an ensemble. I have lots of music for duets, trios, etc, and singers who enjoy singing in a small group. Come by the choir room to browse through music (or bring your own) and select a date. Instrumental-ists are also welcome!

The Guitar Workshop is meeting on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Choir Room. The Guitar Work-

shop is led by Steve James, who provides instruction for both guitar and bass guitar, as well as con-

versation on a number of music topics. All skill levels are taught, beginner to advanced. New mem-

Youth Activities

Vacation Bible School

Calling one, calling all. Are you good at crafts? Do you like to sing? Do you like to dance? Can you

cook up a mean mac n' cheese or chicken nuggets? Do you have a talent you would like to share with

the children of the church? Then we need you! Vacation Bible School is July 8th-11th (Please note

date change). Time: 5:30 p.m.—8:00 p.m. and will begin with dinner.

Announcements Continued -

Volunteers Needed: Early Head Start will be closed July 4th week. Volunteers are needed to paint their rooms and hallway on July 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7. We would appreciate your help, even if it’s just for a few hours. If you have paint trays, rollers, brushes, step stool, or ladder, please bring them. We will be-gin at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 2nd. Painting needs to be completed before new floor covering is in-stalled. A sign-up sheet will be available in Fellowship Hall. Our opening hymn this morning is 'Holy, Holy, Holy!' Lord God Almighty!. As

part of the Many Voices, One Song Hymn Series, we are joining with other

Presbyterian churches as we observe the 220th General Assembly which

meets this week. Sing joyfully!
