Inaugural addressThe event was officially opened by the speech delivered by IFIA President, Alireza Rastegar and the Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, R.V. Deshpande.Alireza Rastegar stated: " I believe that organizing this event was highly required because India is the hotbed of start ups. On one hand, the Indian inventors have the opportunity to show their inventions at an international level and on the other hand the start ups, investors, and businessmen have a great chance to see the innovative technologies, realize the national and international potentials, invest and apply them in industry". He also pointed to the major role that media plays in reflecting the technological advancement of each country. Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development appreciated the organizers, partners and sponsors of IIF and assured the full support of Government to the organization of the International Innovation Fair for the upcoming annuals counting on the cooperation of International Federation of Inventors' Associations.

MOU between IFIA and A.P Innovation Society

The international training center for innovators

The international training center for innovators is going to be established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh relying on the cooperation of International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA) and Indian Innovators Association (IIA). The MOU was signed between IFIA President, Alireza Rastegar and CEO of A.P Innovation Society, Nikhil Agarwal alongside IFIA Executive Committee meeting.

The principal objective of this center is to1.train national and international innovators and enable them to reap benefits of their creative work2.train incubation managers, ED Cell managers on mentoring and fund raising3.train technology transfer personnel of higher educational institutes and universities on protecting and leveraging intellectual property

IFIA EC Meeting

EC meeting• IFIA Executive Committee meeting was held on Sunday, 11 September

2016 in Bangalore International Exhibition Centre in India to discuss the issues of importance. A report of the activities performed up until then was announced to the members including the MOU signed between IFIA and HKTDC and IFIA and ABIPIR International Web TV Platform.

• Meanwhile, the candidates for the Executive Committee for the time period of 2016-2018 who fulfilled the required criteria were nominated to be voted during the upcoming General Assembly.

• IFIA Treasurer also delivered a report of the membership fees received.
