TPG’s three-part system consists of the optional Basegear to keep you dry, a Tech Liner to maintain the correct body temperature and a selection of jackets and pants designed to allow the first two layers to operate properly by protecting against outside forces. TPG is the first system initially designed to function as a cohesive three-part system.

Cargo Storage System (CSS):This exclusive system is ingeniously concealed under the front chest pockets. Multiple compartments and anelastic key lanyard make it easy to carry along all thenecessities of the road.

CE-Certified: Your Firstgear® jacket includes CE-approved armor (Europe’s highest standard) designedto absorb shock and protect your shoulders and elbows.

Core-Comp™ Armor: An articulating armor systemwhich is engineered and constructed similar to a helmetliner of compressed polystyrene pellets. Core-Comp isso light, riders don’t know it’s there and it absorbs anincredible amount of impact. Core-Comp armor shouldbe replaced after any ‘compressing’ of the armor isexperienced.

Cuff Vent System (CVS): Patented ventilation at thesleeve cuff, using a 2-way closure zipper that doubles asa vent.

Double stitched: An overlock stitch technique thatsews 2 panels together and then requires a second foldand additional stitch. This gives the seam an extra levelof strength in abrasion situations that a simpler andcheaper sewing technique would not provide.

EVA Foam: A lightweight, closed-cell, plastic foammaterial that provides good shock resistance.

5-ply Nylon Thread: This thread cannot be brokennearly as easily as cheaper cotton thread. We use thebest 5-ply nylon thread available.

Skiving: A quality process shaves down the raw edges of leather before being sewn so the seam laysflatter and does not leave any raw leather exposed.Skived seams are stronger, lay flatter and shed waterbetter than unskived seams.

Temperfoam: A visco-elastic ‘slow recovery’ open cell foam that absorbs shock but is very comfortable to wear inside garments.

Thermoliner™: Removable liner constructed of perforated aluminized mylar bonded between polyesterfiber and nylon taffeta, reflects body heat inward andpermits humidity to escape to provide maximumwarmth with minimal bulk.

Thermoneck™: Cold weather protection that extendsup your neck and chin, integrated into the jacket. The soft collar feels good against your neck and stowsback into the jacket when not in use.

Top-Grain: The premium, top layer of the hide that has the best strength and flexibility compared to thelower ‘split’ layers.

Torso Vent System (TVS): Torso Ventilation Systemunzips to reveal perforated leather or nylon panels,front and back, which allow air to pass into the jacketfront, circulate around the torso and exit out the back,providing an air-conditioning effect. (U.S. Patent#5,845,336).
