All High Holy Day services, led by Rabbi Sonya Starr and Cantor Benjamin Kintisch, include traditional and innovative elements. Our services bring the Congregation together for the Jewish New Year. The opportunity for members to see and meet the entire congregation helps build our holy community, Kehila Kedosha. The full High Holy Days schedule is enclosed.
ADMISSION TO ALL SERVICES WILL BE BY TICKET ONLY! Please help the ushers by having your ticket for each person ready for presentation. Prayer books will be available for everyone.
Members whose pledges are up to date are entitled to receive tickets for themselves and their dependent children, ages 25 and under, as part of their membership. Up to date means that the member’s pledge payments are current for the fiscal year (July 2019 to June 2020).
We encourage all members to invite family and friends to join in our HHD experience and be a part of our community. Members may purchase additional tickets for non-member guests for $125.00 each. Please make arrangements for non-member guest tickets by completing the request form in this packet. Because of space limitations at Wilde Lake Interfaith Center, we ask that you only request tickets you will actually use.
Happy New Year!

Shemini Atzeret is the final day of festivities at the end of Sukkot. During this time we remember those we love who have passed away. It is followed by Simchat Torah, the holiday that marks the conclusion of the annual reading of the Torah and its beginning again--amid dancing, song, and celebration.
"Tashlich" means "casting off" and involves symbolically casting off the sins of the previous year by tossing crumbs or pebbles into a body of flowing water. Just as the water carries away the tossed item, so too are sins symbolically carried away. In this way the participant hopes to start the New Year with a clean slate. This service is open to the community. Please bring a friend! Tickets are not required.
Shabbat Shuvah literally means "Sabbath of Return," but it is also a play on the phrase "Shabbat Teshuvah" (Sabbath of Repentance). It is the Shabbat that occurs between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and is a time for reflection leading up to the atonement of Yom Kippur.
