First, create a new folder on the computer under My pictures

Connect the camera or phone to the computer and wait for the Autoplay screen to appear

Select Open device to view files

Locate the photos in the DCIM folder

Drag the photos from the camera or phone to the new folder in My pictures

Choose your preferred view option, e.g. List view …….

or Slideshow

To edit a photo, right click the file & choose Open with from the sub-menu ….

… followed by your chosen photo editing application, e.g. Microsoft Office

To reduce the area of the photo click Crop

After editing the picture, do a File > Save-as (i.e. create a copy of the file, while leaving the original as it was)

Photos can be inserted into documents by drag and drop, e.g. Word …..

… or Powerpoint, to make a slideshow
