To create a new document:– Run Fireworks– Select File > New, enter parameters.– Select File > Save As, enter name & location.

To import a file into the document:– Select File > Import, locate file, double-click it.– Drag the pointer over the document window where

button (lower right corner of Layers panel)– double-click a new layer to change its name– in the menu, select View > Rulers

To create a vector object– click a tool (such as Rectangle) in the Tools panel– select various properties in the Property inspector

(Fill, Fill Color, Texture, etc.)– click and drag to create the object in the image
