Fire : Friend And Foe

Fire is the result of chemical reaction. When the air combines with carbon and hydrogen in a fuel, a chemical reaction takes place. Energy in the form of heat and light is released in the process. This is what we called fire.

THINGS NEEDED TO MAKE FIRE

We need mainly a fuel like coal, wood, leaf or paper like thing and oxygen to originate fire..

FIRE AS A FRIEND

Generally we use fire to cook our food, keeping our house warm in winter and in critical situation it is use to safe our life from the wild animals.

FIRE AS FOEWe all are aware of the

destruction caused by the fire, lie :-

• It burns down all the precious properties of human.

• If it is forest, it turns the trees into their ashes form.

• And if it catches human, it could also burn them without leaving anything.

HOW TO CUT OFF FIRE ?

• Take out the fuel content out of the fire.

• Cut the supply of oxygen.

• Try to lower the temperature. If the temperature can be brought down the flash point, the fuel stops burning.

Some times water is sprayed on a fire to put it out, but some fires cannot be put out with water. Like the fire caused by :

Electricity

Oil

Petrol

FIRE FIGHTERSThey are highly trained person.

They possess many spills. They perfectly know the ways to prevent fire, surviving out of the building and how to help others while there is a fire.

At the time of fire, these fire fighters are like the messiah for us because they are the only person to which we can trust at that time.

CONCLUSION

The discovery of fire and its uses helped the early man to cope with the nature better and gradually adopt a settled mode of life. Fire is indeed a threat once it gets out of control.
