2. FireandGasDetectionThe fire and gas system shall include:
smoke,
heat,
flame
and
gas
detectors;
2.1SmokeDetectorsSmoke detectors commonly installed
insidebuildingareas,incertainindoors
areas. In areas where ionization and
thermaldetectorsarenotappropriate,
photoelectric smoke detectors or
flame sensors may utilize ionization
smokedetectorscommonlybeusedin
nohydrocarbonsarea.
Smoke sensing detectors shall be
located in enclosed areas where an
ordinary combustible or an electrical
typefiremayoccur.

2. FireandGasDetectionFire and gas system meliputi: detector
asap,
panas,
api
dan
detektor
gas;
2.1DetektorasapDetektor asap biasanya dipasang di
dalamareabangunan,didalam daerah
ruangan tertentu. Di daerah dimana
detektor ionisasi dan termal yang
sesuai, detektor asap atau sensor
fotoelektrik api dapat memanfaatkan
ionisasidetektorasapbiasadigunakan
didaerahtidakadahidrokarbon.
Sensordetector asap harus berada di
area tertutup dimana daerah yang
mudah terbakar atau api listrik
mungkinterjadi.

Control rooms and electrical
equipment room shall have a
minimumoftwodetectorarrangedto
provideco
incident
detection,
or
crosszone.
2.2GasDetectorsGasdetectors shallbeof the infrared
type.
Visual and audible alarms shall be
provided for two levels of detection.
Theminimumlevelshallbe20percent
ofLEL,themaximumlevelshallbe60
percent of LEL. Alarm levels shall be
adjustable.
2.3HeatdetectorCombination rateofrise/fixed
temperature heat detectors shall be
usedinopenandconfinedareas.
Sensors shallbe locateddirectlyover,
andincloseproximityto,theprobable
heatssource(S)
ventilation
and
air
movement shall be considered when
locatingthesensors.
Detector may be addressable and
producesand increasesignal incircuit
when it detects heat. Otherwise,
system shallbecapable to indicateat
least for internal circuit conditions,
that is: shortcircuit fault, falsealarm,
andopencircuitfault.
