Special Notice (Very Important)

Plasma cutting torch as a consumable part in plasma cutting

system, if not Ex-factory quality problems, we don’t be

responsible for any of below situations.

1. Any damages caused by over-time working, no timely

maintenance or no regular checking;

2. Any damages caused by non original parts;

3. Any damages caused by wrong operation.

Safety notes

1. Read the safety marks

Marks in this section are for indicate potential danger. Once see these marks

on the manual or machine, please be noted there must be some danger, and

operate the machine according to manual strictly, to avoid any of danger.

1) Keep all the security labels well on the machine, any loss please paste a new one;

2) Learn how to operate and control the machine, operations without qualified are not

allowed;

3) Make sure machine is under normal working status. Machine adjustment without

permission may hurt or damage the machine;

4) Safety notes and labels of YK accord with CNS. Safety notes of danger, warning, and

notice shows together with safety labels. “DANGER” is to indicate the most serious

danger.

2. Touch electrified parts can kill

1) During cutting process, electric circuit may be produced between

torch and work-piece. Work-piece and any parts which contact with

work-piece will be electriferous;

2) Don’t touch torch body, work-piece and water in the table

during cutting process;

3) All plasma cutting process is under high voltage. Please read the below precautionary

measures when operate the cutting system:

4) Wear insulating gloves and shoes, keep body and work clothes dry;

5) Don’t stand or lay on any of wet surface when operate the plasma system;

6) During cutting process, use insulating shields or mats to avoid any of body contact with

work-piece. If have to work in a wet environment, please pay more attention;

7) If water table is used, please make sure it’s grounded well;

8) Check the power input leads regularly; change a new one if any of damages. Naked

power lead can kill;

9) Safety belts are required if work in a high or dangerous place, in case of any drop or

electric shock.

3. Cutting can cause fire or explosion

1) Please make sure working site clear and safe before any of cutting

process, fire extinguishers are required;

2) All inflammables around cutting site within 10m should clear away;

3) Hot metal should be cooled first, then can be cut or contact any of

inflammables;

4) Any of cylinders which possible load inflammables are not permitted to be cut, only if the

cylinder is totally cleared, can start cutting;

5) Ventilate the cutting site before cutting to clear way any of possible inflammable gas;

6) When O2 gas is used as plasma gas for cutting, ventilating system is required;

7) Cutting process is not allowed to use in a environment where there is explosive dust or

gas;

8) Any of airtight cylinders are not allowed to cut by plasma.

4. Arc and arc rays can hurt eyes and skin

1) Visible light or invisible light (ultraviolet light and infrared ray) which

produced by plasma arc can hurt eyes and skin;

2) Eyes protection is requied. Please wear eyes protection devices with

dark glasses, to avoid any of hurt;

3) Wear flame retardant protection suit to avoid any of arc rays hurt;

4) Remind others to protect before working.

5. Toxic smog can kill

1) The plasma arc itself is cutting heat source. Although plasma arc is

not listed as toxic smog, it still produces some toxic gas or smoke,

and it consumes O2 in the air;

2) Anybody or site manager should check the air quality in working site,

to confirm a good air condition under safety.

Measures to reduce risks to contact the toxic smoke:

3) Clear way all painting layers or solvent on work-piece. Cut any cylinder which may load

toxic materials is not allowed. If have to that, please clear the cylinder first;

4) Ventilate out the toxic smoke. Never inhale the smoke. When cut any metals where there

is possible toxic , please wear a breather;

5) Only qualified person is allowed to use welding & cutting equipment and breather.

6. Plasma arc can hurt

1) Plasma arc is produced immediately when start the plasma cutting,

which can burn gloves and skin;

2) Please be away from torch head;

3) Please don’t hold any work-piece around the cutting route;

4) Never put plasma torch towards anybody.

7. Noise can make hearing loss

1) YK manufacture reminds users: Noise beyond the limit (over 80 db)

can cause injury to vision, heart and audition depending on oneself.

2) Please consult local medical institution. Use the equipment with doctor’s permission

would help to keeping healthy.

8. Electric safety

1) Cut off the power before installation, maintenance and repairing in

case of any accidents;

2) All Huayuan’s equipment is typeⅠprotection equipment, please read

manual first before installation, and only qualified person is allowed

to use;

3) When there is a mark on the equipment, please connect the equipment well with

ground accordingly.

9. Electromagnetic field can hurt

Wherever there is cutting current, there is electromagnetic field.

1) Electromagnetic field can affect the cardiac pacemaker working,

please consult doctor first before using this plasma equipment;

2) The negative affect to health is still unknown, but not excluded.

Please try to reduce the possible harm of electromagnetic field as below measures:

3) Keep work-piece cables and torch cables in one side of your body, and stay away from

that;

4) Try to make the work-piece cable as close as torch cable ,and the shorter the better;

5) Try to stay away from the plasma power source.

Torch Instruction

YK-330 is a water cooling type high power automated plasma cutting

torch, suitable for 60~400A high frequency plasma cutting machine. It’s a

reliable plasma torch with high rated duty cycle, good cutting

perpendicularity, beautiful cutting surface, high cutting speed, high

piercing height and long consumables working life.

1, Specification

Working current: 60-400A, rated duty cycle 100%;

2, Gas

Cutting gas and shielding gas is separate, compressed air, oxygen,

nitrogen and mixed hydrogen-argon can be used as cutting gas,

compressed air and nitrogen be used as shielding gas;

Electrode and nozzle are water cooling, which makes long consumables

working life, high plasma arc compression and high current density;

The withstand voltage of torch shield, electrode and nozzle up to 6KV;

Maximum gas supply pressure is 0.6MPa (Be adjusted accordingly);

For some plasma power source only support single gas output,

tee-junction adapter for gas combining & separation is available.

3, Water (Cooling liquid)

Maximum water pressure 1.5Mpa;

Maximum cooling liquid flow 4L/min (System pressure 1.5Mpa, torch

With gouging function, the minimum angle of inclination is 30 degree;

With water spraying function, both dry cutting and water spraying

cutting is available.

4, Consumables

For different cutting current, cutting gas and cutting technology, only

need to change a few parts, most parts keep the same.

Operation notice:

1, According to the manual of plasma power source, connect the water

pipe (in/out) , gas pipe and high frequency wires, please specially note

the water in/out direction, if connect wrong, the water flow may get

lower, and the water pipe line may block.

2, Clamp the middle or bottom of the torch, there should be a insulation

unit on the clamping part. Please don’t connect the torch shield with

ground cable.

3, Before cutting, please carefully check the gas supply and water supply,

make sure the gas pressure/water pressure in a suitable range; make

sure the gas is clean and dry, make sure the cooling liquid is clean,

temperature and liquid level is in a suitable range.

4, Install parts like electrode, nozzle etc, put some lubricating oil on

sealing ring, check if silica gel seals are working well. If any burning of

parts, repair or change that timely.

5, Contact serviceman if any situations below: gas leakage, water leakage,

no arc striking, bad cutting quality, fast burning of torch parts.
