Debbie talks about the business Tell us about your product We manufacture the finest furniture. Everything is man- ufactured by master craftsmen in our workshop, from designing and crafting to fine veneering and polishing. What is it that your customers want from you that they can’t find any where else? Well the standard and finish of our work is truly second to none, but I think our clients love that we are a ‘one stop shop’. They don’t need to go to one place for a dining table, another for a grand staircase and another for a stunning kitchen. We can and do craft everything – although we do have a little waiting list. Have you had any challenging projects recently? The very large projects are often challenging toward the end, simply because you are relying on other people to have rooms ready for furniture to be fitted or placed. We worked on one large project in London where there were strict deadlines. Staff were working seven days a week to get all this beautiful furniture loaded into the lorry on time but when our fitters arrived there were no floors down! Bob was on the phone yelling that he was going to ‘drive that lorry straight into the Thames!’ I do think creative types can be quite fiery at times. The designer will blame the builder – the builder blames the electrician – everyone blames the architect and the architect blames everyone else. And then… as though by magic, silk drapes are at the windows, hydrangeas are on the console tables and ripe fruit is in the kitchen. All is calm and stunning and serene. The client is overjoyed and everyone is shaking hands saying ‘what a pleasure it was to work with you’ and ‘we must have dinner’. Any exciting projects for the future? All our projects are interesting and a pleasure. We are working on a luxury hotel chain at present, a splendid villa in Cannes, some grand kitchens, bedrooms and beautiful tables. But the most exciting – we have just crafted the first of a range of luxury beautiful guitars,in fact the world’s most exclusive commercial guitar. It is called the Jeremy J Lewis guitar and is crafted from just one piece of Honduras mahogany, with no neck joint, giving it the most beautiful sound and tone when played. Its’ cutting edge innovation and elegance com- bined has taken years to develop and it is about to be launched in New York. With titanium chassis, mother-of- pearl fret board inlaid with platinum and the most ex- quisite veneers, we are so proud to have been chosen to craft this work of art. Bob is also talking about expanding the workshop again. It’s hugely exciting, but the thought of it does make me want to lie down! FINE, BESPOKE FURNITURE

What is it that your customers want from you that they can’t find any where else?Well the standard and finish of our work is truly second to none, but I think our clients love that we are a ‘one stop shop’. They don’t need to go to one place for a dining table, another for a grand staircase and another for a stunning kitchen. We can and do craft everything – although we do have a little waiting list.
