A certain old merchant of Yonkers who was so shrewd in business is putty in the hands of Dolly Levi, The Matchmaker. He is fooled by apprentices in a series of hilarious hide and seek scenes, and finally has all his bluster explode in his face.

And on those cold winter nights, Horace, you can snuggle up to your cash register. It’s a little lumpy, but it rings! -Dolly Levi

Fall Ensemble NightThursday, November 17 • 6:00 p.m.

Ensembles will begin in the band room at 6:00 p.m. and move to the Black Box for the evening’s final performances.Admission is free

The evening will feature a program of chamber music featuring BA’s various ensembles and include with show stopping performances by Jazarus and Pyramid.

Christmas Chorus ConcertSunday, December 4 • 2:00 p.m.

Join us to ring in the start of the Christmas season with a concert filled with favorite holiday selections featuring three middle school choruses, the Upper School Chorus and some special, surprise ensembles sure to being a smile to your face.

Christmas Band ConcertThursday, December 8 • 6:30 p.m.

Joyful season favorites abound as the beginning, intermediate and ad-vanced bands perform selections in anticipation of the Christmas sea-son.

Academy Players Fall Improv ShowThursday, December 15 • 6:30 p.m.

Laughter is considered a great stress manager because it’s free, convenient, and beneficial in so many ways. Get more laughter in your life by attending an Improv show. The funniest kids in school will surely leave you laughing with their highly anticipated opening montage as well as crowd favorites such as Party Quirks and The Paperslip Game.

A group of young boys in a juvenile detention camp whose punishment includes digging holes in the desert discover both their individual talents as well as how much they can accomplish together in this coming of age story made popular by the Disney film of the same name. Their time at Camp Green Lake changes the delinquents lives as their hardships melt away and they uncover the treasures within themselves!

This night of instrumental music kicks off in the Band Room with en-semble performances before moving to the Black Box to end the eve-ning with amazing sets by Pyramid and Jazarus.

Academy Singers ConcertTuesday, March 27th • 7:00 p.m.

This annual concert event features the Academy Singers performing songs from the 2012 CD. It also highlights some of our most award-winning forensics performers showcasing successful pieces from this year’s season. Last year’s sellout crowd at the Loveless Barn gave the evening rave reviews as an incredible night of entertainment in one of Nashville’s most sought after entertainment venues. Tickets for this event are limited and will go on sale March 1st.

During this Activity Period assembly, the awards for the 2012 Arts in April showcase will be awarded with a video presentation not to be missed.

Spring Band Concert/Picnic On The QuadThursday, May 3 • Picnic begins at 6:00 p.m., music at 7:00 p.m.

Brentwood Academy Quad Admission is free

Pack a picnic basket, a blanket and your camping chairs and head out to the BA quad to watch the sunset while you enjoy an evening of music created by our instrumental music department.

Spring Chorus ConcertThursday, May 10 • 6:30 p.m.

Brentwood Academy Dining HallAdmission is free

As we wind down this school year, our chorus program proudly pres-ents a selection of music that will welcome summer. The concert will feature performance from our 6th Grade Chorus, 7th & 8th Grade Chorus, Upper School Chorus as well as some surprise guest soloists and ensembles.

Join the middle school and upper school dance classes as well as both of Academy Dancer groups as they perform a high energy show not to be missed! From ballet to and lyrical to tap and hip-hop, the showcase will feature something for everyone.

When you need a break from studying for finals or just an excuse to laugh, come hang out with the funniest kids in school and close the year with the final performance from our own improvisational wizards, The Academy Players.
