Finding journal articles on EBSCOHost
Created for UWC, IFS132By Lara Skelly
July 2012
Go to the library home page: www.lib.uwc.ac.za.
Hover your mouse over “Information Resources” and a drop-down menu will
appear.
Click on “Databases A-Z”.
On the page that opens, click “A-L”.
Then, click on “B”.
Scroll down until you see “Business Source Complete”. Click there.
Next, click on “EBSCOHost Web”.
You will see a list of all the databases that UWC has access to through EBSCOHost.
Click on the box next to “Select all”.
Then click continue.
Type in some search words in the boxes provided. Remember to use a good search
strategy.
And click on “Search”.
Your results will appear. Note that you can filter for only peer-reviewed articles in the
box on the left.
On some records, you will be able to access the full-text immediately by clicking
on the “PDF Full Text” link.
You can then read the full-text online, or download it.
If you find an interesting article without a full-text link, you might still be able to get it through
another database. See the “eJournal A-Z” presentation on this guide.
