Finding and evaluating OER“Hands on” activity:
1) Divide in to groups of 3 or 4 and look at one at the OER search engines listed on the JISC OER Infokit and use it to locate an OER on a subject or topic of your groups choice.
2) Apply the checklist in your handout and record your group evaluation of your chosen OER?
3) We will then discuss as a group:• the experience of using the OER search engine to locate OERs• how easy and pragmatic your chosen OER would be to adapt and reuse
for your own teaching and learning contexts• How we can keep up-to-date with OER developments
How will you take the learning back to your
organisation?
Thank you for your time!
