What is the Financial Navigator Program? The Financial Navigator is an opportunity for people living or working in Esquimalt to meet one-on-one and

confidentially with a trained financial resource person, to discuss and find answers for personal financial worries.

The Financial Navigator will help clients to use simple tools and access resources in the community to help with

making ends meet on a limited income, and reducing debt.

The Financial Navigator Service builds on your strengths and helps create positive solutions to address your

financial concerns. This isn’t a therapy program or counselling service, and nobody’s going to blame you for your

financial problems. We are not selling any financial products or services. We’re here to help you get control of

your financial situation and find ways to keep on top of it. If needed, we may help you connect with other non-

profit community resources that have deeper expertise and capacity to assist you with specific problems, such as

debt or legal concerns.

Who can access the Financial Navigator?This pilot program is for people who live or work in Esquimalt. If you are having challenges making ends meet

or dealing with debt issues, please call for an appointment.

The program is open to people aged 18+. We welcome individuals, couples or families, with any source of

income. We regret that the Financial Navigator service is not able to help with housing or food emergencies.

When can I get help? 

We are currently booking 90-minute initial appointments that will happen on Nov. 13 and 20, 3pm-9pm. 

After your first meeting, you can schedule return appointments as needed.
