Liaising with staff from the directorates, including directors and business partners, and reviewing the financial sensibility of the returns including data generated from the pay forecasting model and other sources. Support Management Accountant in DfT (Finance) and RTAS group reporting. Review of current monthly reporting, assess fitness for purpose and recommend changes. BUDGETS Lead annual budget setting process to include meetings with budget holders at initial negotiation stage and production of support documentation for the Executive Board. Provide advise to budget holders to enable effective managing of budget variances. Contribute to spending review submissions through financial analysis. FINANCIAL STATEMENTS Assist with the production of the financial statements in the Agency’s Annual Report, including liaison with the National Audit Office and external auditors. Production of other reports as required by DfT, HMT or other public bodies. OTHER DUTIES :- Liaise with the Financial Operations section of the directorate to

ensure adequate input into the ongoing accuracy of the Agency’s financial information, including authorization for new account codes, cost centres and activity codes.

Liaise with the Contracts team to identify financial and contractual implications of business decisions and support financial assessments.

Focal point for provision of financial information for Parliamentary Questions and Freedom of Information requests.

Provide training for budget holders and their staff as required. Ad hoc tasks as required within the directorate.
