Financial Advisor Compensation

• Financial Advisors are paid directly by fund companies, not Paychex. The financial advisor's firm must have a selling agreement with the fund company in order to be paid. 

• Process flow overview:– The fund companies send commissions (in

the form of 12b-1 fees) to the financial advisor's firm.

– The advisor's firm collects the money, takes out their percentage where applicable, and pays the financial advisor their commission.

– The financial advisors are paid as per their arrangements with their firm.
