Who are we?

The finance arm of the Manchester Growth Company, BFS provides finance for North West businesses from £500 through to £500,000.

Finance is provided to businesses unable to access finance through mainstream lenders to support start up or growth businesses.

For business needing access to seed or equity finance this can be accessed through Co our Angel investment service.

Compliant and Accredited lender (FCA authorised, EFG and CITR accredited) Regional Delivery partner for Government Start Up loans Work with the British Business Bank to bring funding into Greater Manchester and

the North West. North West Fund Manager Supporting businesses trading internationally with the launch of the new GM

Export Loan Fund in conjunction with UKTI, September 2015.

Seven Bro7hers BreweryA microbrewery based in Salford, borrowed a combined loan of £45,000 through the Start Up Loans Programme. This allowed them to secure premises and equipment and now have 5 brews.

Salut WinesA wine bar based in Manchester City Centre, borrowed £100,000 from our Business Loan scheme. This allowed the owners to secure premises and develop this into their dream bar.

The Butcher’s QuarterA Butcher’s based in the Northern Quarter, borrowed £50,000 from our Business Loan scheme. This allowed the owners to secure premises, fit it out as necessary and stock the required foods.

Greener Surfacing LtdA road recycling business based in Rawtenstall, borrowed £49,500 from our Micro Loans programme. This allowed the owner to grow the business across the North West and increase the outputs of the business.
