This session will focus on the challenges unique to scholarly activity process. The session begins an interactive discussion of a series of brief case studies in fellowship scholarly experiences. Because this is a process, the concept of process mapping will be described and examples distributed to all attendees. After attending this session the learner will be able to:
1. Describe definitions, indications and methods for process evaluations 2. Discuss a useful framework for process evaluation the DRIVE process 3. Analyze their programs’ Scholarly processes by practical application of the concept presented.

APPD serves you in your personal growth, career development, program improvement, and service to faculty, trainees, and, most importantly, to the children who need medical care. If you are not a member, please contact your residency program director or coordinator and ask to be included!
Task ForcesThe APPD has five main task forces which focus on Assessment, Curriculum, Faculty and Professional Development, Learning Technology, and Research and Scholarship. APPD members are welcome to join a task force - there is no additional fee, require-ment, or specific skill needed. Join in a task force during the annual meeting, or contact one of the leaders for ongoing activities between meetings to get involved.
RegionsIn addition to the national organization, pediatric programs in APPD are divided into regions. These regional groups have leader-ship opportunities, meetings, and activities which are a vital part of the APPD.
Pediatric Education Groups (PEGs)New focus groups have just been added within APPD and would welcome your interest and involvement. Currently, there are three newly formed APPD Pediatric Education Groups (PEGs): Pediatric Global Health Educators PEG LGBTQ PEG Healthcare Simulation in Pediatrics PEG
