Final Edit Evaluation. For the final edit of my music video, i changed around some of the clips which i thought would suit the song i was using better. I also made the footage lighter , compared to the rough edit of my music video, but i made the beginning and ending scenes darker to the other scenes in the video, to have a good effect with the song being slow at the beginning and starting to get quicker and it went well with the song slowly fading out at the end. Some of the shots were purposely shot sideways to have a different effect in the video i used those in my rough edit but for my Final edit i decided to rotate them to see it what it would look like and then used them shots. I used one of the scenes twice, but editing some of the parts of the scene out so they wouldn't be identical, i used it half way through the video and as the ending scene because both scenes went well with those parts of the song. The strengths of my music video is that most of the shots aren't blurry and have a clear shot of the actors or the surrounding area such as the close up shots of some of the graves that we used, the effects I used on that scene was that I made that shot darker than the other shots in the video, I did this because it went well as the beginning of the video and it went well with the slow tempo of the beginning of the song , this went really well. Although this shot is abit shaky the actual footage is quite clear , so we can see the different parts of the location in the shot, such as the details in this long shot of the one side of the graveyard. Another shot that came out really well was the second scene in my video , in which Im walking through and between the graves, this was also a good shot .The third scene came out quite well , in this scene it looks like we used slow motion, but we just walked slowly as if it were slow motion, this we thought looked good with that part/tempo of the song.

These shots were originally shot sidewards because we wanted to see how they would look in the video if some of the shots we’re shot like this and what effect it would have on the video and what they would be like with the song. In the rough edit of my music video I kept the shots sidewards to see what they were like but decided to rotate them 90 degrees , so then after rotating them they had dead space surrounding them because the compositions changed , at first I wasn’t sure if this would look right in the video but after playing the video a couple of times I liked the look it had and kept those shots like that.

The editing techniques I used were cutting, I imported all the scenes I wanted to use in Premier which I then put together and watched to see which parts I wanted to cut out and which parts I wanted to use and to swap our which scenes I thought went with the tempo of the song better.

When editing my rough edit of my music video I change the lighting of all the clips , to see if it would look good and I didn’t really like it. I then decided for my final edit to keep the lighting of the clips the same , but made the beginning and the ending scenes slightly darker, to go with the slow tempo of the song at the beginning and the song drowning out at the end of the music video which I thought went well with the song.

Thankfully when shooting we didn’t come across major difficulties the only difficulties were that some of the graves we were shooting with were old and were falling apart so we had to be careful shooting near them incase of any accidents or damage to the graves. Another difficulty was because we were filming in a public place , people went passed when we were filming so in one of the clips in the video there is someone in the background that wasn’t supposed to be in the video so we just decided to keep that part in.
