DOPING CONTROL Athletes may be tested at random at this championship as per the laid down doping rules.

BREAKFAST Breakfast will be provided at the hotel. LUNCH Packed lunch will be provided by the hotel and will be available at the Kings Park Pool. DINNER Dinner will be provided at the hotel, except for Saturday night, when

dinner will be provided at the Kings Park Pool from 19:00 for all players and officials. Dinner for referees, officials and visiting dignitaries will be provided at Kings Park Pool.

SWIM WEAR & CAPS All swim wear must conform to the FINA rules. Teams must be in

possession of two sets of caps at poolside for each game.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS Transport will be provided for airport transfers, and the bus will depart 2 hours prior to flight departure times from The Blue Waters Hotel.

POOL TRANSPORT The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Kings Park complex.

There is a safe and inexpensive People Mover Bus that runs directly to the Kings Park Pool and to uShaka Marine World. Buses depart every 15 minutes and a day pass costs R16. A bus map is attached.

The President of CANA Zone VI, Mr Jace Naidoo, Member Countries, Players, coaches, officials and

visitors, on behalf of Swimming South Africa, and our water polo fraternity, a hearty welcome to

sunny Durban, in the beautiful province of Kwazulu-Natal. We are extremely pleased to have so

many of you participating at this tournament, which also includes a section for the qualification to

the 2018 FINA World Youth Water Polo Championships.

There is no doubt in my mind that water polo is on the up in CANA, with many CANA zones having

coaching and referring clinics to promote the sport. Our water polo community in South Africa is

more than willing to assist wherever they can to promote the sport on the continent and we

welcome interaction with us in this regard.

Athletes, coaches and officials: this event is about you. Our Local organising committee has

worked tirelessly to put together a tournament of high quality, in a very short space of time. Build

new friendship and compete in the best ethical way, promoting the game through raising the

competitive bar.

Remember, we represent our respective countries, not only as sports people but also as

ambassadors of the African Continent. Swimming South Africa wishes you a pleasant stay and
