    DEMAND DRAFT

    The centralized demand draft module of Finacle envisages having draft payable account at oncentralized location. All other sols access the account for routing their draft related transactionthough thi s central account.

    The Sol credits this centralized account for issue of draft and debit this central account forcancellation/ Payment of draft. All DD transactions in centralized DD module are thus inter sol in

    nature and are routed through the inter sol account.Some important points to be noted.A Finacle BranchA branch which is l ive wi th in the network of CBS.B- Non Finacle BranchA branch which is not li ve wi thin the network of CBSC- Finacle DraftA d raf t issued by a Finacle branch on another Finacle branch. This means that on the date of

    issue of draft issuing branch and drawee branch both are live in Finacle. For such type of Drafts , theIssuing finacle branch does not send any draft advice to drawee Finacle branch irrespective ofamount of draft. Further , the amount of such type of drafts is not transferred to HO as such thesedrafts amount are not reflected in the H O extracts.

    D- Non Finacle Draft A draft issued by a Finacle branch on non Finacle branch or Issued byNon Finacle branch on Finacle branch . for such drafts , Issuing branch sends a draft advice todrawee branch for draft amount equal to or greater than the prescribed amount ( Amount which isdecided by the bank ) .

    INTER SOL TRANSACTION & RECONCILATION MECHANISMThere are two type of branches i.e. Finacle branch and other Non Finacle branch .

    Reconciliation mechanism as follows:

    - Inter sol account is a system only account which means that only system can put anytransaction to his account .

    - At the Data Center level, if we sum the G L balance of in ter sol a/c of all sols in FinacleData base , the sum would come to Zero.

    - If the sum of all ISO ( Inter sol ) accounts in the data base is not zero, system does notallow Central EOD to go th rough .

    - This check at data center level ensures that all inter sol transaction in the data base getreconci led at Central EOD .

    - Thus among the Finacle branches , all such inter sol transactions between various serviceoutlets in data base would be reconciled out side the IBR Process. Hence suchtransactions would no t be reported in daily H O Extracts o f individual service out lets.

    - The inter sol account shall be shown separately in the weekly statement of affairs b elowthe head Balance with H O on both sides of the weekly and balance outstanding in thisaccount shall be clubbed with the outstanding H O balance of the branch for the purposeof t ransfer price mechanism.

    INTER SOL TRANSACTIONS IN DD MODULEThus Finacle to Finacle DD transactions get reconciled on line throughinter sol mechanism and do not require IBR route for reconciliation. Such transactions are

    thus not reported in the days credit / debit H O extracts.IBR Reconcilation :- When a Finacle branch issue a demand d raft on a non f inacle branch by crediting centralized

    DD a/c , there is a need to t ransfer the amount o f draft l ying in the centralized DD a/c to the H. O. a/c of

    the issuing branch and report the H O credit entry in the days credit H O extracts.

    - The system takes care of both ISO and IBR reconci liation s automatically.

    TERMINOLOGY USEDBranch specific Draft Payable a/c:This a/c is opened for follwing specific purposes .

    - Issuance of demand drafts both Finacle and Non Finacle.- Cancellation of demand draft both Finacle and Non Finacle.- Payment o f Finacle Demand Drafts.

    Localized DD a/c:This is a d raft payable accoun t opened under scheme code DDOLD and scheme type DDA . It

    it maintained at each service outlet in Finacle. Other service out let can not excess this account.When a branch migrates to finacle, the outstanding draft payable and imprest entries are carriedto this account . This account is further use for payment of drafts where date of issue of draft isprior to the date of installation of th e drawee branch to Finacle. Other funct ions o f drawee officelike responding d raft cancellation or loss of draft advice are also rou ted through th is account for

    drafts issued pr ior to the date of installation of drawee branch to Finacle.

    INTER-SOL ACCOUNTIt is a system only office account ( 3211203 ) which is used only for balancing inter soltransactions. This a/c may have debit or credit balance outstanding at any point of time dependingupon whether the amount of transaction initiated by users service out let on other Finacle serviceoutlets is more or less than the amount of transactions initiated by the other service outlet on theusers service out let.

    A. ISSUE OF DEMAND DRAFTCase: I Issue of Sing le Demand Draft Invoke Menu Option TM

    1. Type TM at the function block and press .2. Type A to add, enter transaction type/sub type (cash or transfer) and press F4.3. Type DD at the a/c number field, enter DD amount, type C at transaction type blockand enter transactio n particulars. Use or key to move to next field. Press

    F4. System takes the user to addition al details screen.4. If tran type is Transfer, modi fy create con tra flag to Y, else do not modify the flag.

    5. Enter drawee bank/branch code.6. Enter name of payee, purchaser a/c number (if tran type is t ransfer) and name ofpurchaser.

    7. In the print option field, type I for immediate printing or L for printing at a laterstage.

    Press F4.8. System displays the DD commission charges which are modi fiable. Press F4 again.

    System takes the user to TM screen option block. Type P to post and press F4. Postall

    part trans. Press F10.9. If the prin t option in addi tional details screens is I (immediate), system takes the user

    the DD print screen which displays the entire DD particulars like DD serial number,payees name, date of issue, drawee branch and the inventory details like type ofinventory and its printed serial number (for printing to go through, DD inventory must

    beavailable at the user location). Press F4. The system disp lays the printed serial numb erof th e draft. Press F4 again. System prints the draft and asks for confirmation Is printOK and default populates Y. If print is okay, press F10. If print is not okay, modify Yflag to N and then press F10. Then use DDPRNT option to re-prin t the draft. In eithercase, system displays the t ran id, which the user has to note down.

    10. If the print opt ion in additional details screen is L (Later), then the user displays thetran id, whi ch the user has to note down. Use DDPRNT opt ion later to p rint the draft.

    11. Verify the transaction (verifi cation to be done by some other user).Case II: Issue of Mass Demand Draft Menu Option DDMIMass issue of demand drafts is done using menu option DDMI. Through this menu

    option, usercan Add, Modify, Post, Print and Inquire on a demand draft. Further, multiple DDs canbe issued on behalf of only one purchaser.

    12. Type DDMI at the finacle user menu op tion block and press .13. Type A at the functio n block and press F4.14.Type C for cash or T for transfer type of transaction. If tran type is T, enter tran sub

    type. Use or key to move to next field.

    15. Type DD in DD a/c number field, purchaser a/c number in case of transfer tran fordebiting DD amt and commission amt (name of purchaser in case of cash transaction)and press F4.

    16. Enter DD particulars l ike amount, drawee bank/branch code, payee name and tranremarks. Use down arrow key to enter particulars of next demand draft. Continue withthe process till particulars of all DD to be issued are entered.

    17. Press F10 to commit . System displays tran id. Note down the same. Post the sameusing menu op tion DDMI or TM.

    B. PRINT A DEMAND DRAFT

    CASE I PRINT A SINGLE DEMAND DRAFT MENU OPTION DDPRNT18. Type DDPRNT in finacle user menu optio n block and press .19. Enter DD numb er to be prin ted, its date of issue and press F4.20. If the system finds more than one record meeting above criteria, it displ ays

    messageMore than one DD record exists, enter tran id. Enter the tran id and part transerial number and press F4. System displays the particulars of the DD.

    21. Press F4. System displays the inventory type and the prin ted serial number ofthe DD and prints the draft. It then asks for confi rmation Is print OK anddefault populates Y in the field.

    22. If print is OK, press F10. The system wil l then move the inventory.23. If print is not OK, modi fy Y flag to N and then press F10. Reprin t the draft .CASE II PRINT BULK DEMAND DRAFT MENU OPTION DDPALLThis menu option can be used to print all unprinted DDs for a particular date.24. Type DDPALL in finacle user menu func tion block and pres .25. System by default populates the BOD date. This can be modi fied. Enter the date for

    which the drafts need to be printed.26. Press F4. System displays the DDPRNT screen and by default disp lays the

    particulars of f irst DD to be printed. Press F4 twice. System prints the draftsand asks for confirmation. Press F10.

    27. The system displays the next DD to be prin ted. Press F4 twice. System prin tsthe draft and asks for confirmation. Press F10.

    28. Repeat above step ti ll prin ting of all drafts is over.29. Press F3 to quit.CASE III PRINT DEMAND DRAFTS WITH SELECTION CRITERIA MENU OPTION -- DDBPUsing above menu option, user can print drafts that meet the selection criteria given

    above.30. Type DDBP at finacle user menu optio n block and pres .31. Enter selection cr iteria. This could be DD no from/to, Issue date from/to, DD

    amount from/to, Tran id from/to, Drawee branch code, Purchaser a/c number,Purchaser name, Payee name etc. Press F4.

    32. System displays all records meeting the selection criteria as specified above.Select P for print and R for reprint and press F4.

    33. System takes the user to DDPRNT screen and picks up DD for prin ting one by one.Repeat step nos 26 to 29.The user wi ll not be able to indicate R where DD is not even prin ted once and alsoP where it is already prin ted. The main advantage of this option is that the user isable to select records for both p rinting and reprinting in one shot.

    CASE IV RE-PRINT A DEMAND DRAFT MENU OPTION DDREPRNTReprinting of drafts can be done only when the original printing is already done. The

    user will not be able to select a record for reprinting which is not already prin ted.

    Reprinting is also required in case of issue of duplicate DD.34. Type DDREPRNT at fin acle user menu option b lock and press .35. Repeat step no 19 to 23 as explained above.

    C. CANCELLATION OF DEMAND DRAFT MENU OPTION DDCA draf t, which has been issued, can be cancelled only after i t has been pr inted. Fur ther,it can becancelled only by the issuing sol and not by any o ther sol w ithin data centre.

    1. Type DDC at finacle user menu op tion b lock and press .

    2. Type C to cancel at the functi on block and press F4.3. Enter DD number, date of issue, tran type (cash or t ransfer) and put Y in create servicecharge tran field and press F4.4. If there are more than on DDs meeting the above criteria, system displ ays the message

    More than one DD exists, enter tran id . User then has to enter tran id and press F4again (tran id means the id of the transaction by which the DD was originally issued. Iftran id is not known, th e same can be inquired using FTI menu and specifyinginstrument type as DD, date of issue of DD, tran type cash or transfer and amount ofDD).

    5. The system displays the particulars of the draft. If the draft was issued by debiting thecustomers a/c, system also displays the customer a/c number if t ran type above isselected as T (for transfer). Press F4. You are now in the remarks col umn.6. Enter su itable remarks and press F10.7. System displays message DD has been cancelled successfull y. Tran ids are _ . Notedown the tran id and post the same through TM menu.

    D. MARK A DEMAND DRAFT AS LOST: MENU OPTION DDLOSTStatus of a demand draft, which has been printed, can be marked as Lost only by theDD issuing branch. This is a pre-requisite for issuing a duplicate DD.

    1. Type DDLOST at f inacle user menu option block and press .2. Enter DD number, its date of issue and DD issue tran id (in case multi ple records withsame DD number and date of issue exist) and press F4.3. System displays the particulars of the demand draft and asks for con firmation Non

    Payment Advice Requi red . If the value for this field i s Y, then user has to enterreceipt of non-payment advice using menu option DDNPADV before issue of duplicateDD. If the value for thi s field i s N, then DDNPADV is no t required.

    4. Press F10 to commit. System upd ates the status of DD as Reported Lost

    E. ENTER RECEIPT OF NON PAYMENT ADVICE IN CASE OF LOST DD: DDNPADV

    When the Non payment advice required flag is Y in DDLOST, then entry of receipt o fnon

    payment advice from the drawee branch becomes mandatory.1. Type DDNPADV at finacle user menu option block and press .2. Enter DD number, its date of issue and DD issue tran id (in case multiple records withsame DD number and date of issue exist) and press F4.3. System displays the particulars of the demand draft. Press F10 to .

    F. ISSUE OF DUPLICATE DEMAND DRAFT MENU OPTION DDDA dup licate demand d raft can be issued only after the status of or ig inal demand draft

    has been marked as Lost and non-payment advice fro m the drawee branch has been enteredin DDNPADV.

    1. Type DDD at finacle user menu op tion b lock and press .2. Enter original DD number, date of issue, tran id (in case multiple record exists) and putcreate service charge flag to Y. Specify tran type as C for cash or T for transfer.

    Press F4.3. System displays the particulars of the demand draft. Press F4 again. System displaysduplicate DD issue charges. Enter t ransaction remarks in the Remarks column and pressF10. System displays the message Duplicate DD has been issued successfu lly. Tran id is____. Customer has to pay Rs._____ . Note down the t ran id4. Post the transaction through TM menu.5. Print the demand draft using menu opt ion DDREPRNT.

    G. PAYMENT OF DRAFT- Finacle draft means a draft i ssued by a CBS branch and payable at CBS branch. Since

    at the time of issue of the draft at th e CBS branch, the Decentralised Draft Payable ( DD )account was credited at the time of payment the same should be debited.

    - For Other drafts i.e. Any draft issued by any non CBS branch at the account numberfield type LDD instead of DD.PAYMENT OF SINGLE DRAFT MENU OPTION TM

    1. Type TM at finacle user menu option block and press .2. Type A to add at the funct ion block and specify tran type and sub type. Press F4.

    3. Type DD at the a/c number fi eld, enter DD amount, specify t ran type (credit or debit),enter tran particulars, type DD as instrument type, enter running serial number of the DDas instrument number and its date of issue and press F4. System takes the user toadditional details screen and default populates the DD particulars.4. If tran type is T (for transfer) then modify create contra flag to Y.5. If more than one DD exists with matching particulars, system displays drawee branchcode of on e of the DDs. User has to modify the drawee branch code, if required and enterother particulars of the DD and press F4.6. System takes the user to TM screen opt ion block. Select P for post and press F4. Postall part trans. Press F10 to commit and note down the tran id.7. Verify the transaction (verification to be done by other authorized user).

    H. MASS PAYMENT OF DEMAND DRAFT MENU OPTION DDMPMass payment of demand drafts can be done using menu opt ion DDMP. This feature

    is enabled only when credit of all demand drafts has to go to o nly one account. Further, thecredit will also be consolidated credit.

    1. Type DDMP at finacle user menu option b lock and pres 2. Enter tran type and sub type (cash or transfer), specify instrument type as DD, EnterDD a/c number (type DD), specify DD currency as INR, enter p ayee name in case of cashpayment and payees a/c number in case of payment through transfer mode and press F4.System takes the user to DD particu lars screen.3. Leave alpha code column b lank. Enter running serial number of the DD, its d ate of issue,amount and issuing bank/branch code. If draft is being paid ex-advice, modify ex-adviceflag to Y. Enter tran particulars and press down arrow key to enter particulars of nextdraft.4. Contin ue with the process til l all the drafts to be paid are entered. Press F10 to commitand note down the tran id.5. Post the transaction using P mode in DDMP option. At the function block, type P andenter tran id and press F4. System displays the particu lars of th e payee as well as of all thedrafts to be paid. Press F10 to commit.6. If any of the particulars need modification, press F3 to quit and type M instead of P atthe function block and enter tran id. Press F4. System displays all particulars of thetransaction. Make necessary modification and press F10 to commit. Note: modification oftransaction is to be done before its pos ting as explained in step no.54.7. Inqui ry I op tion i s also available in DDMP menu.

    RESPONDING DRAFT ISSUE FOR A NON FINACLE DRAFT

    Work flow Is : NFADV

    - The work flow enable to capture the particulars of the draft advice like1- Draft number2- Date of issue3- Issuing Branch / EC code4- Payees name5- Printed serial number

    - It validates the passing powers if the passing powers of the authorized offi cer specified inthe work flow are not su fficient to post the transaction, system does not allow queuing th erecord to his queue and forces to queue the work flow to another verifier having sufficientpassing powers.

    - The verifying o fficer can have display of the particulars of the draft queued to his locationof us ing menu DSPWFQ ( Display work f low queue ) . He can either authorize or cancel thework flow.

    - The work flow internally validates the date of issue of draft and the date of in stallation of

    drawee branch to Finacle .

    - The work flow validates the printed serial number of advice with the list of lost draftstored in the system thus preventing responding any advice in which the blank draft isreported lost.

    - The work flow does not allow responding an advice for amount Rs 10 lakh and above.REVERSAL OF NFADV RESPONDED WITH INCORRECT PARTICULARS :

    Some times th e branche respond draft advice with incorrect particulars like

    responding advice with wrong issue branch code or with wrong date or wrong amount etc.This leads to mismatch o f entries at IBR level. There are two poss ibili ties i.e.

    - There is no record available in the system in paid status and with th e incorrectparticulars entered by the branch while responding draft advice . In this case , the systemwill create a new record i n UNPAID status and will show thi s record as outstanding draftpayable credit entry.

    - A record is avai lable in the sys tem wi th the incorrect p arti culars entered by the branchwhile responding draft advice and in paid status. In this case, the system would updatethe advice received date of the existing record with the result that th is entry wouldhenceforth not be picked up by the system as out standing draft payable imprest entry.

    - To reverse such entries responded by drawee branch with incorrect particulars where theDD status is unpaid , A new work flow has been enabled NFADVREV

    - The work flow allows to reverse the draft advice responded with i ncorrect particularsonly if the entry is outs tanding in UNPAID status .

    - The work flow validates the passing powers of the authorized user to whom theworkflow before queuing the record for verification.

    - The work flow validates whether the user ini tiating the work flow and the authorizeduser have wri te permission for DDA and HOC scheme type.

    Procedure for reversal of draft advice responded earlier with incorrect particul arsInvoke Menu Option : NFADVREV1 - Start Flag : By default it is populated Y . Do not modify this flag.2 Issue Br. Code : Enter 4 digit distinctive number of the draft issuing branch as was entered atthe time of responding draft advice earlier.3 Issue E C code : Enter 2 digit E C number as entered at the time of responding draft adviceearlier.4 DD number : Enter 4 digit running serial number of the draft as was entered at the time ofresponding draft advice earlier.

    5 DD amount : Enter the amount as was entered at the time of respond ing draft advice earlier.6 Issue Date : Enter the date of issue of demand draft as entered on of responding draft adviceearlier .7 Authorised User Id : Enter the user Id of the user to whom the workflow is being queued. PressF4.8 - The system wi ll disp lay the workf low id . Note down th e same and pass on theWork f low Id to the authorized user for verification.

    9 If the status of the draft is other than U , The system would display appropriate message The draft has status P/X . Can not reverse.10 If NFADVREv is done for a draft and the system does not have any record with the particularsentered in NFADVREV, It would raise appropr iate erro r message DD not found with these details. The authorized user will verifyt the work flow throu gh DSPWFQ.11- On verif ication , the system deletes the DDSM record of advice th e responded with incorrectparticulars and simultaneously creates the fo llowing reversal transaction in posted state for theadvice earlier responded : -

    Dr: Localized Draft Payable a/cCr: H O a/c

    System also displays Tran Id. .Note it down. This reversal entry is picked up by the system incredit H O extract for the day as a reversal transactio n.

    While marking the record as Deleted the system would update Purchasers name field ofDDSM menu with remarks NFADVREV for NFADV dated < DATE > so that an audit trial i savailable in the system for the reversal transaction.Likewise the system updates the transaction particulars fi eld in both legs of the transaction withsimil ar remarks as above and tran remarks field as NFADVREV .

    A repor t has also b een enabled to list all such record s which have been reversed usingNFADVREV menu op tion and is available at PNBRPT menu opt ion 10 sub option 20.

    SPECIFIC DD ISSUED INQUIRY MENU OPTION DDIIsing this menu option, user can inquire on the particulars of any specific DD that has

    beenissued.

    1. Type DDII at the fin acle user menu optio n block and press 2. Enter DD number and date of issue and press F4.3. System displays the particu lars of the DD.4. Press F3 to .

    DD CREDITS INQUIRY MENU OPTION DDICUsing this menu option, user can inquire on credits that have gone into the centralized

    DD a/c. In this inquiry, system displays the date of issue, DD number, issuing/drawee branchcode, DDamount and name of payee. User has to enter selection cri teria.

    1. Type DDIC at the finacle user menu option block and press 2. Enter selection criteria like DD no from/to, Issue date from/to, DD amt low/high, drawee

    bank/branch code, purchaser a/c number, inventory type and nu mber, print option,printflag, print count and press F4.3. System displays all records meeting the selection criteria.4. To see fur ther details of any specific record, go to that record and . System would display further details of that record.5. Press F3 to return to previous screen.6. Press F3 again to .

    SPECIFIC DD PAID INQUIRY MENU OPTION DDIPUsing this menu option, user can inquire on the particulars of any specific DD that has beenpaid.

    1. Type DDIP at the finacle user menu option block and press 2. Enter DD number and date of issue and press F4.3. System displays the particu lars of the DD.4. Press F3 to .

    DD CREDITS INQUIRY MENU OPTION DDIDUsing this menu option, user can inquire on debits that have gone into the centralized DD a/c.In this inquiry, system displays the date of issue, DD number, issuing/drawee branch code, DDamount and name of payee. User has to enter selection cri teria.DRAFT PAID EX ADVICE :

    - The option for generating report of all draft paid ex advice either to the debit of d eCentralized DD account or the localized DD a/c is PNBRPT opt ion no. 10 and sub opt ion 3.

    - The option requires to enter 4 digits dis tinctive number of own branch.- On Pressing F4 , system generates a report in the background di splaying particulars like

    draft number, date of issue, issue branch code, issue branch name , draft amount payeesname, Paid on etc.

    - - Take print out of the above report using PR menu option for follow up with the issuingbranch for di spatch of draft advice / confirmation of action of the drawee branch in havingpaid the draft ex advice.

    DEMNAD DRAFT STATUS MAINTENANCEThe menu option DDSM is used for maintenance of demand draft status to mark the status of

    draft as cautioned / stopped and even modify the DD particulars .Invoke Menu option DDSM1- Function block : A

    number column . Press F6 to go to next screen.4- Mark caution status of the account . Type N If DD is not cautioned, else type C for

    cautioned. S for stopped or L For Lost status of the draft .5- Enter payee bank / Branch code and Payee name and press F10 to < Commit > . System

    creates a DDSM record for the Demand Draft.6- DDSM record created needs verif ication .REVERSAL OF NON FINANCIAL DRAFTS PAID WITH INCORRECT PARTICULARS

    Some times branches enter inco rrect particulars of demand d raft at the t ime of payment.This causes problem in IBR reconciliation and timely adjustment of Outstanding Draftpayable imprest entries.

    - Since such records are created by the system out of payment transaction , thesecannot be deleted by using D Option in DDSM ( Demand Draft Status Maintenance )menu.

    - A new menu o ption DDREV menu option has been introduced to meet suchrequirements.

    -The silent feature of this menu option i s as under :-DPREV is a work flow available at branch DBA level :

    The use of this work flow is valid only under following circumstances :- Demand Draft >= Rs --------------- ( As decided by the bank )- Advice for the draft has no t been already been responded.

    The workflow internally validates whether a valid record for the draft with particularsgiven in PAF ( Parameter Acceptance Form ) exist with del_flg as N.

    If the record does not exist with given particulars , or it exists but advise has alreadybeen responded for the draft, system displays error message DD with these particularsdoes not exists and does not allow correction of the entry.

    If the record exists and advice for the same has not been responded , then systeminternally deletes the record and creates following reversal transaction for the amount of thedraft using DDT option and post the same using TM option.

    The suspense entry shall then be adjusted by making fresh payment of the draft with correct

    particulars.PROCUDURE:Invoke MENU Option DDREVSystem will bring up a parameter acceptance form and default populates the start flag as Y. Do not mo dify thi s.

    - Issue branch code :Enter 4 digit distinctive number of the DD issue branch.- Issue EC Code :Enter 2 digi t Code of issue EC ( 00 for parent branch )- DD number :Enter 4 digits running serial number of the draft. If draft number

    is say 1/2005 , then enter 0001 in this field.

    - DD amount : Enter the amount of the draft.- Issue Date : Enter date of the demand draft .- Press F4 if the system finds a record with the particulars given above in paid status

    for wh ich advice has not been responded, It will delete the record from the system

    and create the reversal transaction debiting suspense general account and Creditingthe draft payable account of the branch and display the transaction ID .

    - To adjust the Suspense entry action would depend of the nature of mistakecommited at the time of the payment of the draft with inco rrect particulars . Theaction to be taken as under

    - - If the mistake lies in the particulars of the draft, other than the draft amountthen following approach is suggested.

    - If the issue branch code or E C code was entered incorrect ly , other particularsbeing correct then pay the DD again by debiting LDD Account with correct issuebranch / EC code using TM menu and Credit th e Suspense General Account .

    - If the draft number or issue date was entered incorrectly , Other particulars beingcorrect then pay the draft again by prefixing 9000 to the draft number using TM menuand credit the Suspense General Account.

    - If How ever the draft was paid with inco rrect amount other particulars being correct ,then following two scenario arises :

    - A- Draf t was paid w ith h igh er amo unt : In thi s case th e excess amount paidneeds to be recovered from the customer account or clg. Imprest / Sundry Clg.

    Account ( For payment against Clg. ) In such case Pay the draft again by prefixing9000 to the draft number and with correct amount using TM menu , Debit Customer/Clg. Imprest / Sundry Clg. Account with difference amount and put consolidatedcredit to the Suspense General Accoun t for adjustment of out standing entry.

    - B- Draft was Paid with lesser amount : In the case the customer needs to be paid indifference amount and suspense clg. Account . In such case pay the draft again byprefix ing 9000 to the draft amount and with correct amount using T M menu , Creditthe customer / Suspense clg. / Imprest account with the difference amount andadjust outstanding suspense General entry With the balance amount.

    TALLYING BAL ANCES OF LOCALIZED DRAFT PAYABLE ACCOUNTFor monitoring the positi on of balances of l ocalized draft payable a/c on daily basis by

    a register is to be maintained in which the out standing balance in the localized draft payable

    accoun t as per accoun t ledger ( ACLI ) and the outstanding balance report ( PNBRPT 10/11 ) isto be noted. In case of any difference make efforts to locate the difference immediately.A newmenu option LDDRECON has been introduced which gives reports for locating thedifference.

    HEAD OFFICE ACCOUNT IN FINACLE

    ORIGINATION TRANSACTION :A t ransaction which is ini atated / originated at the branch for the pu rpose of sending /

    affording credit to another branch. The head office a/c is credited during originatingtransaction.

    RESPONDING TRANSACTION :A transact ion , which is created , based on an advice received from ano ther branch .

    The Head Office account is debited during responding transaction.

    REVERSAL TRANSACTION :A tr ansaction, which is done to reverse the effect of an earli er transaction. This

    transaction could debit / credit the head office account depending upon whether the earliertransaction was originating or responding transaction.

    TRANSACTION CATEGORY CODE :A code used to classify transaction done on Head Off ice acco unt into vari ous

    categories depending upon the purpose and nature of transaction. Details of category codedefined in the system are given below.
