Responsibilities include, but not limited to: • Engages in ongoing recruitment of a diverse group of foster parents; compiles recruitment data and assists in the evaluation and development of recruitment efforts. • Certifies and recertifies foster parents in accordance with Agency and applicable certification requirements. • Completes the home study and other assessments of foster family and home in a timely manner. • Assists in development and implementation of initial and ongoing training of foster parents in accordance with Agency and applicable certification requirements. Monitors foster parent attendance at trainings and develops remedial plan of action if foster parent’s attendance does not meet required standards. • Recommends foster parents as potential matches for youth awaiting placement. • Coordinates the review of referral material by foster parents. When corrective action plans are identifies for a foster family, the FFS ensures that they are complied with. • Facilitates the conflict resolution process between foster parents and clinicians. • Ensures foster parent compliance with regulatory bodies and Agency standards and policies. • Participates in Agency meetings, training sessions and seminars; May serve on Agency committees and meetings in the community. • Performs basic administrative tasks related to the job, which include maintaining and updating all necessary records, forms and reports. This will include inputting information into the state client tracking computer system (CONECTIONS). • Works flexible hours as determined by service needs, and is available for rotating on-call coverage. The Foster Family Specialist I will work with a collaborative team of Hillside and Onondaga County Department of Health and Human Services employees to recruit, train, and support foster/adoptive parents for Onondaga County. The Foster Family Specialist I will be co-located with county employees at the County Office Building to enhance communication and team work. Duties include conducting on-going recruitment and informational activities, meeting with prospective foster/adoptive families, and delivery of initial foster parent training methods (MAPP-GPSII, Deciding Together, Caring for Our Own). High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related preferred. 2-3 years of Human Services experience required. Requirements: The Food Service Worker is responsible for assisting in the safe preparation of all food served within the assigned sites within Hillside Family of Agencies under the general supervision of the Kitchen Supervisor. The food service worker ensures that requirements for appropriate sanitation and safety levels are adhered to regarding preparation, quality and cost control. This individual is responsible for the overall sanitation within the kitchen, in concert with the other members of the team. This position is responsible for assisting in preparing all foods using standardized recipes, interacts with staff in a friendly professional manner, follows job flow, attends inservices and meetings as requested and completes special cleaning assignments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Works within our system to assist in preparing food that is of the highest quality and safety measures following all Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Standards. • Works hand-in-hand with other kitchen staff learning proper preperation techniques. Reports to Kitchen Supervisor. • Completes cleaning and sanitizing tasks in a timely manner. Practices "clean as you go" technique. Labels and dates all products, fills out orders as appropriate. • Uses inventory wisely and keeps management informed of quality issues as they arise. Follows recipes and gives feedback. • Follows all department and HSS polices and procedures. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED is required. The Assistant Supervisor is included in the direct care staff schedule, and generally performs the duties of a Youth Care Professional for a considerable portion of the time. The Assistant Supervisor supports HFA’s Philosophy of Care and works to remove systemic barriers to ensure implementation. Essential functions of the role include, but are not limited to: • Communicates supports and links HFA mission, vision, values, goals, and strategies to everyday work and establishes clear, meaningful, challenging, and attainable objectives and expectations that are aligned with those of the organization. • Aligns the right work with the right people; delegates tasks according to people’s strengths and interests. Ensures staff has the skills and resources to be successful. Provide staff with coaching, training and opportunities for growth to improve their skills. Treats staff fairly and consistently.
