Some achievements 2015 °°°

• Two additional colleagues have during the year started to exercise on a

regular basis.

• CPR-training for all employees.

• Filtac have contributed as an industrial partner to “Tekniksprånget”, The Royal

Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA).

• Continuous monitoring of fuel consumption of our company cars to create

awareness and create a driving force for improvements.

• One of our colleagues is on leave of absence to study engineering at Chalmers

University of Technology in Gothenburg aiming for a master of

science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• 2015 our Christmas gift to customers and colleagues was a contribution to

Barncancerfonden (The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation).

• Increased travelling by train in Sweden.

• Successful audit of Quality and environmental management system made by

external auditor (Qualify AB).

… Environment & Sustainability

In all of our actions we try to contribute to a sustainable environmental develop-

ment without jeopardizing coming generations ability to fulfill their needs. On a

daily basis we act to improve air quality, minimize energy consumption, reduce

waste, improve waste management and to reduce the use of the earths limited

resources.

… Society

We depend upon the well being of the local and global society, a society built by

our stakeholders. By being a proactive company, we strive to make a contribution

to the development of the local and global society.

… Human relations

In our knowledge intensive business, our employees are the most important re-

source and their personal development and health is essential to the company’s

existence and development. The health and well-being of our employees, both in

working and leisure hours, is the foundation of the company.

… Business financials

Market communication and customer focus are extremely important to build

sustainable business relations. Sustainable business relations are essential for

the development and financial stability of our company in comptiance with our

owners strategy, which enables us to continue our contributions to a sustainable

development of the environment. We work hard to ensure that our supply chain is

treated fairly and honestly to secure the well being of all involved.

Environment & Sustainability °°°

• To promote premium solutions with high quality, high efficiency and long

lifetime to fulfill customer needs.

• We consider environmental aspects in our product development.

• We always evaluate the environmental impact of the activities in our supply

chain. 1

• We always consider the environmental impact from freights in our supply

chain. This is consequently advantageous for local suppliers. 2

• To secure that our company provides a good working environment where

employees are being treated fairly and honestly. Everyone has a right to be

recognised and appreciated.

• We try to minimize and optimize waste management both in our own activi-

ties and in our supply chain. 2

• We work to minimize the use of energy in our own process. We cover

everything from company car fuel consumption to electricity and compressed

air, all connected to our environmental targets. 1

• We are participating in global and local networks to share our knowledge and

leadership in order to have a positive impact on society.

• We encourage all collegues to participate in social and nonprofitable activities

and to contribute with their leadership and good values to society. We always

try to be flexible in working hours to allow for such participation.

• We are involved in the sponsorship of local nonprofitable organisations.

• We encourage all employees to become blood donors and allow flexible work-

ing hours to enable all to donate blood.

• We are a partner to the local engineering college as an industrial partner for

the students personal development, providing realistic industrial projects.

• For Christmas and anniversary gifts we have a preference for donations to

charitable organisations to help people in need.

• We never accept discrimination and will always oppose the unfair treatment of

other people.

• We only accept suppliers with operations in accordance with the International

Labour Organisation (ILO) including children’s labour. 1

• We encourage everyone to take own initiatives for change and have courage

to do!

Human Relations °°°

• We consider our employees as the most important company resource.

Their knowledge, leadership and experience is the foundation of our company.

• We always work hard to maintain a good and creative working environment.

• We continuously provide training to enhance our profile as an engineering

company. Training enables us to provide even better services to our

customers.

We encourge all physical activities to increase the health of our employees.

• We always encourage own initiatives for training and if relevant to our

business we are prepared to compensate for time and costs.

• We provide health examinations and medical advising in cooperation with

Avonova.

• We encourge all physical activities to increase the health of our emplyees and

we provide an annual contribution for such costs.

• We follow the rules of the collective agreement between the employers

organisation and officials union.

• We allow flexible working hours in accordance with special regulations.

• We have performance appraisal and development plan for our employees.

• Commissioning based on company’s annual targets and performance is only

given as a collective bonus, all employees are included, and is used for com-

mon recreation and team building.

• By keeping the company’s intellectual capital and by emphasizing a strong

business confidence, a healthy growth with sustainable profit will be the result.

• The company will have a continuous development of its business model to

timely change with market conditions to create a stable financial situation.

• Our strategies should change over time in response to changes in the business

environment in which we operate.

• Major growth activities such as acquisitions and other capital investments shall

be highlighted in board meetings and investigated and financially analyzed in

a reviewed business plan.

• Through all sales and purchases, always under healthy and ethical market

conditions, we generate an reasonable return on our investments. The

company is proud to pay municipal and state taxes according to the law.

• Financial statements are reported on a quarterly, biannual and annual basis.

The rate of dividend shall attract stakeholders but ensuring the company’s

needs for development in order secure the future.

ensure the need for developments.

• Our network of suppliers shall continuously be reviewed financially and be

given opportunities to join in product- and project development to ensure

their future.

3P – Protection of Person, Product and Process

We offer customized air treatment solutions for industry and commerce.

In addition to distributing well-known brands, Filtac also develops and

produces it’s own high quality products. We design, supply, install and

validate solutions for customers from through carefully selected distrib-

utors and partners. Our basic idea is innovative and cost effective solu-

tions tailored to our customers special requirements. We can accomplish

this with the help of a well documented base of experience and the right

choice of suppliers and partners.

The 3P for protection of person, product and process permeates our

entire organization.

Wet ´n dry

We at Filtac has extensive experience of process air filtration. We contin-

uously develop new filter systems for most applications in the purifica-

tion of process air. These range anywhere from what we call “dry”, with

dust removal for totally dry dust, the “Semi- Dry“ and “Medium Wet“

with products for the filtration of emissions from processes minimal

lubrication (MQL), and “Wet“ with products of oil mist separation.

FibreDrain™ Concept

The faster and more efficient the industrial manufacturing processes

are, the more oil mist and emulsion mist are created by the machine

tools. To be able to handle this pollutants Filtac developed the

Oil Mist FibreDrain™ Concept.

The concept allows individual adjustment depending on the specific

process to achieve the optimized solution to gain valuable customer

benefits.

Filtac´s intention with this CSR report is to summarize

and publish our continuous efforts to contribute to a

more sustainable world.

It is made with guidance from the standard ISO

26000:2010, Guidance on social responsibility and will

be in continuous change and improvement to comply

with our operations and get more into compliance

with the design of Global Reporting Initiative, GRI.
