played when you enter the website. A menu then appears where you have the choice of viewing “About the film”, “Photo gallery”, “Video”, “Downloads” and “Partners and promotion”.

You can read about the narrative of the film, find out the cast and information on them, read about the filmmakers, view stills from the film, view different scenes from the film and download wallpapers and screensavers for your mobile phone.

The trailer.• The whole trailer lasts 2.33 seconds.• It consists of clips from the film and are not necessarily in the correct order.• At the beginning of the trailer the clips vary between 1 and 3 seconds long and as the narrative seems to un fold and the emotions of the character start to change, so does the music and each clip lasts slightly longer, some of even 10 seconds.

• The “twist” or “outcome” of the story is not given away but hinted at through change of music, we gather that there was only one woman from his previous girlfriends that he was serious about and regrets losing or leaving her.• It is at the end of the trailer that the voice over announces who the two main characters are played by.

General Information

The name of the film we have chosen is Transformers 2, The film production that the film is under is DreamWorks and Paramount pictures these are two well known film organisation that can be recognised very easily by the little boy on the moon and the Paramount logo.

The target audience is around 12 upwards due to the certification law and people who are interested in science fiction this works well with the genre of the film and marketing because it would be easier to make merchandise such as toy/action figures and clothing.

Features of film

The main characters for this film is Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox, along with the robots that are computer-based made. The director of this film is Michael Bay and writers Roberto Orci and Ehren Kruger. The release date was June 19 2009 and comes under the genre of action and sci-fi. Famous actors such as Tyrese Gibson is also in the film. The plot of the film is based around the conflict between the Auto bots and Decepticon .

• The trailer runs for 02.21 minutes.

• The trailer first starts out comedic and calm.

• Shows you the well known film productions, this is ideal because they are easily recognised.

• The music at first is normal teenage rock-orientated soundtrack then the tone is quickly changed when a symbolic stone is recognised.

• Middle of trailer to the end, there is more fast pace cutting to show the action side of the film and clips are shown a bit more darker.

• Recognised actors and such as Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, director Michael Bay, producer Steven Speilberg also Robots like Bumblebee and Megatron who where featured and involved in the previous Transformers.

• Locations are more wide ranged, you can see its not just set in America.

• New characters are shown. This makes the target audience more interested in the film.

Looking at the robots they have bold bright colours with contrasts of greys and blacks to show their true identity and their transformed identity, The background has pyramids, sand and sky. This shows that the film may not be set in America like the previous film. Their movement indicates its more action related and more intense, this may catch the audiences attention and convince them to want to watch the film.
