Picture 1

Camera shows/walks down the center of the pews. Tracking shot then pans upwards.

We deviated from this shot. We decided to walk down the aisle then turn the camera around on the spot to reveal the protagonist sat in on of the pews.

Picture 2

Close up of feet whilst sat on pew.

We also deviated from this shot, instead of a close up we used mid shot. This was so the audience could see more of the setting, as the shot was near the beginning of the opening, we wanted to established where the characters were.

Picture 3Over the shoulder shot of young girl sat in pew.

We slightly deviated from this shot by deciding to film it in an external setting rather than inside the church. We chose to do this because we recognised the imagery in the graveyard would enhance the religious theme.

Picture 6

Close up of young girls face – slightly covered by hair or hands.

We deviated slightly from this shot. As pictured, you can see Christa is crying, we didn’t include this in our film opening because we didn’t want to distract the audience from thinking about the setting and theme.

Picture 7

Close up of the older women’s face- again slightly covered by hair or hands.

We still used this shot, straight after the shot shown before but again Christa wasn’t crying.

Picture 8Shoot the same shot as the establishing shot.

We didn’t include this shot in our opening as we were limited for time and after rethinking we didn’t believe we need to repeat the same shot twice.

Picture 9Shot of down the aisle with the older girl stood at the end.

We used this exact shot yet we placed it at the beginning in order to use it to introduce the character.

Picture 10Same shot as last frame but with the younger girl stood at the end.

Again we used this exact same shot but at the beginning of the film opening to introduce the character.

Picture 11Cross swings upside down.

Despite really wanting to include this shot we didn’t have the skills and correct equipment to carry it out, so therefore it wasn’t included.

Picture 12Use the cross from the last shot. Background fade to black and just leave the cross with a black background.

We also deviated from this shot. As we couldn’t carry out the last shot with the falling cross, we couldn’t use the cross in this final shot. However we did use the effect of fading to black, with the title being left on the dark background as we thought this would help the audience remember the name of the film if it was one; the last thing they saw and two; on a non distracting background.
