In the behind the scenes footage I felt very flustered when we were trying to get everything correct and ready to film within the short frame we had. This was very stressful because we didn’t have time to do a test shoot of it, so we had to get everything done within an hour and a half so that we were happy with what we produce. I am very happy with what we produced in our short time frame considering we didn’t do a test shoot. However, as the cameraman, I did not focus on my rule of thirds as much as I should of payed attention to. This meant that when we put all of the clips together and was a final production sequence, we can tell on the screen that the rule of thirds hasn’t had much consideration put into it. This was however a positive for me as I can see where I went wrong and didn’t put attention to detail in, so when I next film something I can see the rule of thirds to make sure my production looks lot better in the future. The quality of the production I am overall very happy with, especially the close ups and the extreme close ups we managed to take. These turned out to look extremely good as a finished production and these were the shots I would say I am happiest with.

I am however extremely happy with how the overall production came along. This is because before September I had never done any sort of media study, so this was a completely new subject to me. I’m happy with myself as a media student as I feel that in the short space from the beginning of September to our filming date which was the beginning of November, I have learnt a lot and applied it to the film noir production. I also felt that I worked extremely well with my other team member. Having a good working relationship with your team members makes team work a lot easier, fun, and overall better. I felt that we worked extremely well as a team and we listened to each other’s ideas which made the whole production process a lot easier.

I do think that in the future, if I was to redo this piece and it was my idea that got commissioned, I would of probably included a character of a different ethnicity. I would include this convention because I think it would be very anti stereotypical and unconventional in a film noir, however I think that it would be a good choice. This would make the audience raise some questions and pay attention to the characters, but also for equality reasons too. I think this would be a really great, different feature to add to a future piece of work which I am very eager and passionate to include at some point.
