• The TV industry is that is made up of TV companies that produce programmes and put them onto our televisions.

TV Industry – Key Roles• The Casting Director casts actors, and so is usually one of the first crew

members on the project. In fact, during initial casting for a television pilot, the executive producer and casting director are often the only crew members.

• A television director is usually responsible for directing the actors and other filmed aspects of a television production.

• The Writer creates and moulds an original story, or adapts other written, told, or acted stories for production of a television show. Their finished work is called a script.

• Camera Operator as the head member of the camera crew, the camera operator uses the camera as instructed by the Director. They ensure the required action is correctly filmed in the frame, and must react instinctively as the proceedings take place.

• Hair and Make-Up Make-up and Hair Designers usually work on feature films and high budget television dramas and must be proficient in both make-up and hair techniques.
