Your first step to filming in the Cairns region is to complete our online application form, to put your project “on our radar”. this will help us support you with the right information and resources, when and where you require.if you are considering a major production, we encourage you to contact our Film liaison officer well in advance to discuss your needs. we can provide a high level of service to facilitate your project, including local know-how and community contacts. our Film liaison officer will be your first point of contact if you require exclusive use of any Council-controlled public open spaces, footpaths or roads. we can assist in seeking any necessary approvals from Council departments and also facilitate the application process for filming locations which are not under Council’s control.
