I. The Nature of the Battle- Spiritual Warfare/Fighters

a). Heb 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end (kjv)

b). 1Cor. 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (kjv)

c). 2Chr. 15:7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded. (kjv)

II. The Nature of the Soldiers of the Lord

a). Good Soldier - Thou therefore endure hardness, as

a good soldier of Jesus Christ. (II Tim. 2:3)

b). Endures Hardness - no matter how hot or tough the battle may become we continue to persevere (Hebrews 12:2,3).

c). Does not become entangled - no matter how busy we are with the affairs of this life, we must always be ready for duty (Titus 2:14; 3:1,14).

d). Pleases his commanding officer - Christ is the captain of His army and we must obey His orders

(Matt. 7:21-23).Well defined Volunteers Infallible Captain



III. The Armour of the good soldiers (Ephesians 6:13-18)


Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (kjv)
