GATHERING MUSIC CHIMES PRELUDE La Marche G. F. Handel
*GREETING AND THE PASSING OF THE PEACE Rev. Steve Charnley
(Leader) The Lord be with you. (All) And also with you.
You are invited to greet those around you with a sign of God’s peace, saying, “The peace of Christ be with you.” Throughout the cold and flu season, please pass the peace in a manner that preserves your health, and that of your neighbor. *OPENING PRAYER (reading together) God of Joy and Gladness, invite us to dance with you as we celebrate this new day that dawns: a new day for inhaling the air we breathe and feeling the beat of our hearts, a new day for living as a servant of Christ’s in the world. Inspire us to take hold of your ex-tended hand and move our feet and hearts to the rhythm of our souls. In the Name of the Lord of the Dance, we pray. Amen. *MORNING HYMN #2008 (FWS-black hymnal) Let All Things Now Living
PSALTER Psalm 150 Edwin Wilmington
SCRIPTURE READINGS Jeremiah 29:11
*Matthew 5:13-20 (Leader) This is what the Spirit is saying to the Church. (All) Thanks be to God!
Please silently meditate upon the Scripture, seeking stillness and resting in God’s presence.
(Pastor) Let our prayers be acceptable to you, O God, our rock and our salvation. (All) Amen.
