Dorsey also became the first starting quarterback in the seriesto have a 3-0 record. Torretta and Weinke each went 2-1 in their three starts, while

Baker went 1-2 and Clement 0-3. Rix was the 28th quarterback in the series to begetting a second start, and the 15th Seminole. McGAHEE OVER THE CENTURY MARK AGAIN – SETS ANOTHER RECORDWillis McGahee rushed for 205 on 39 carries against Virginia Tech and scored sixtouchdowns. It was McGahee’s 10th 100+-yard performance of the season and hissecond 200+-yard outing, breaking the 100-yard games record held by both OttisAnderson in 1978 and Clinton Portis in 2001.

McGAHEE’S BIG PLAY PRODUCTIONThe nation’s top big play running back, McGahee is averaging 7.12 yards everytime he touches the football (286 touches for 2,036 total yards). He has carried 262times for 1,686 yards (6.4 avg) and recorded 24 catches for 350 yards (14.6 avg).Against Virginia Tech, he rushed for 205 yards and had 21 yards receiving for 226total yards on 41 touches.• He has recorded 59 plays of 10 or more yards, including 15 of 20 or more yardsand 13 of 30 or more yards. SPLIT END ANDRE JOHNSON

ANDRE JOHNSON ONLY 2ND HURRICANE OVER 1,000Split end Andre Johnson’s six catches for 193 yards against Virginia Tech movedhim past 1,000 receiving yards for the season and made him only the secondHurricanes receiver to accomplish that achievement. Johnson enters the FiestaBowl with 1,038 receiving yards. That total ranks just 76 yards behind EddieBrown’s 1984 total of 1,114 yards gained in another 12-game regular season. Alongthe way to that achievement, Johnson has produced four games of 100+ receivingyards, including the last two outings of 181 yards at Syracuse and 193 against theHokies.

ON SINGLE-SEASON TD CATCHES LISTSplit end Andre Johnson has caught nine touchdown passes this season, the third-best single season total in Miami history and just two off the record of 11 set byMichael Irvin in 1987. Johnson enters the Fiesta Bowl with 20 touchdown catches inhis career, a total that ranks him third in UM history. Michael Irvin (1985-87) holds theschool record with 26.

JOHNSON ENTERS CAREER RECEIVING YARDS TOP 10With a 193-yard outing against Virginia Tech, Andre Johnson continued his climb upthe Miami career top 10 list for receiving yards. He now ranks fifth in Miami historywith 1,777 yards.

TIGHT END KELLEN WINSLOW

WINSLOW’S PRODUCTION COMPARABLE TO SHOCKEY’STight End Kellen Winslow had big shoes to fill as he replaced 2001 All-America andNFL first round draft choice Jeremy Shockey, but the sophomore from San Diegoended up giving the Hurricanes an imposing threat at the position by putting up onemore reception and one more touchdown catch than Shockey did last season whilematching his yardage through 12 games. A comparison of Winslow’s 2002 seasonand Shockey’s 2001 numbers:
