Fieldwork Management System
Capella Fieldwork Preceptor Introduction
• Expect an account activation email with your initial username and password from [email protected]
– You may want to add this email to your trusted email sources. – Check your spam folder to ensure that this email was not flagged as spam.
• Login: https://www.corehighered.com/login-elms.php • Once you have logged in you may edit your username, password and contact information by
clicking on ‘Account Information’.

Please confirm and add information to your account. Required Fields will say ‘Required’ by them.

There are fields listed under the Custom Fields section that might not all be required but should be completed as best as possible. These fields give Capella University and the fieldwork administrators information about you and your site.

Your password can be changed at the bottom of the Account Information page. Once all information is complete click on Update Information.

Read any messages that have been sent to you in the Message Center.

Go through all documents and videos uploaded into your Document Library.
Document Library
• Once your school has released their rotation schedules you may view your scheduled students in ‘Rotation Schedule’ under the Scheduling tab.
• From this tab you see the student’s phone number, graduation year, rotation dates, and rotation types. You can email the student by clicking on their name.
Viewing Your Students
You may view your student’s evaluations and requirements by selecting a student to view from the ‘Home’ page and viewing information in the Student Snapshot that appears.

2. The status of the evaluations and requirements will be listed.
Update/Modify any of the Requirements you have been assigned and have been given access to edit. 1. Click on ‘My Requirements’. 2. Click ‘Edit’ next to the requirement to be completed or modified.
Requirements
Requirements • If the requirement is to complete a form, click
on ‘Open New Form’ or select form from a dropdown list if provided.
• If the requirement is to upload a document such as a resume or proof of insurance, click on ‘Choose File’ and locate the file to upload.
• Once the requirement is complete, enter the date in the Completed On field and select ‘Complete’.
• If the requirement is still in process select ‘In-Process’.
• You may confirm or deny all hours that your student(s) submit. • Simply click confirm or deny, add any notes, and click update. • Any denied hours will be sent back to the student to edit. • Confirming/Denying hours can be done via email, as you will receive an email
when hours are submitted, or by logging into the Fieldwork Management site.
Approving Your Students’ Hours
• You may complete evaluations of your students by clicking ‘Evaluation of Student’ and submitting your form electronically.
• You may save your evaluation in draft mode or submit it when you have completed the form.
Completing Student Evaluations
• You may view evaluations completed by your students about you and your site as well as student self evaluations when your school opens them for viewing.
