For more than a century, The Field Museum has pushed the boundaries of scientifi c research and public education. We were the fi rst museum ever to undertake an expedition to Africa, the fi rst to establish a DNA laboratory, and the fi rst to create science education programs for public schools.

Today, The Field is one of the only places on Earth where anyone can explore real evidence that document four billion years of life and learn about the latest scientifi c discoveries from leading researchers. We annually welcome over 1.3 million visitors from around the world, conduct groundbreaking scientifi c research on all seven continents, translate science into conservation action in the Andes-Amazon, and present over 2,500 education programs and exhibitions that bring science to life.

Corporate philanthropy is critical to the Museum and enables us to open our doors to the public 364 days each year, while seizing new opportunities to explore our world and share its wonders with people of all ages.

The Museum’s Corporate Relations Program provides outstanding benefi ts to our corporate donors, including free employee admission, exclusive entertainment privileges, invitations to exhibition opening receptions, private behind-the-scenes tours of our extraordinary collections, corporate family days, and much more. Additional information about the Corporate Relations Program is detailed here for your review.

We hope you will join us as we explore and protect the natural world and bring science to life through innovative education programs and enlightening exhibitions. We look forward to welcoming your company as a member of our Corporate Relations Program!

Richard W. Lariviere, Ph.D.President and Chief Executive Offi cer

ANCIENT AMERICAS Ancient Americas takes you on a journey through 13,000 years of human ingenuity and achievement in the western hemisphere, where hundreds of diverse societies thrived long before the arrival of Europeans. Step into the windswept world of Ice Age mammoth hunters, walk through a replica of an 800-year-old pueblo dwelling and explore the Aztec empire and its island capital, Tenochtitlan, a city of more than 200,000 people and an extraordinary feat of engineering for any era. You’ll learn what Field Museum scientists have discovered about the people who lived in the Americas before us, and how the information has changed nearly everything we thought we knew!

ABBOTT HALL OF CONSERVATION RESTORING EARTHDiscover how Field Museum scientists are providing the tools to conserve wilderness and protect the Earth’s biodiversity, all while improving local livelihoods and fostering human connections with nature. Join in the adventure when you journey to the depths of lush Peruvian forests and come across rare and remarkable living treasures. Travel with scientists by boat and helicopter to remote locations as they protect huge tracts of wilderness. See how Field Museum scientists and volunteers are teaming up to restore the Chicago region’s native habitats, and learn what you can do to get involved.

THE CROWN FAMILY PLAYLAB Dig in...Dress up... Explore and grow! At the Crown Family PlayLab, children can dress up as a local animal and star in their own nature play, examine insects in amber and colorful woven pouches, play an African drum or dance to a Latin beat, pull out drawers and discover hidden objects, play in a dinosaur’s nest, or uncover a dinosaur bone. The PlayLab offers endless opportunities for young visitors to express themselves, and with activities and challenges that grow along with your child’s interests, the PlayLab offers a new adventure every time you visit. The Crown Family PlayLab is free with basic admission and is open Thursdays through Mondays from 10am to 4pm, last admission is at 3pm.

EVOLVING PLANET What did the world look like through the eyes of a 500-million-year-old trilobite? What could you see and hear in the swampy forest that was Chicago 300 million years ago? How would it feel to touch the face of our early human cousins? Evolving Planet takes visitors on an awe-inspiring journey through 4 billion years of life on Earth, from single-celled organisms to towering dinosaurs and our extended human family. Unique fossils, animated videos, hands-on interactive displays, and recreated sea- and landscapes help tell the compelling story of evolution — the single process that connects everything that’s ever lived on Earth.
