MASKS FOR ALLOur goal at St. Cecilia Church is to get enough parish volun-teers to be able to donate between 500 and 1,000 masks to Houston Responds that will eventually get distributed to areas in need. We would love to far exceed 1,000 masks. Additional-ly, St. Cecilia will also be listed as a drop off site.

DROP OFFWe have boxes placed in front of the community center from 8 AM to 8 PM where masks can be dropped off. You do not need to sign up to donate masks, but it would be very helpful to know how many people will be participating! PLEASE PLACE MASKS IN PLASTIC BAG AND INCLUDE QUANTITY.

PASTORAL COUNCIL – WHAT DO PASTORAL COUNCILS DO?A Parish Council is a consultative body which is pastoral in nature. It is sensitive to the movement of the Holy Spirit among the people in the parish. It has its hand on the heartbeat of the parish and the needs of the parishioners. A council helps the pastor to foster parish activity by investigating, under the authority of the pastor, all of the things which pertain to pastoral works, to consider them, to discuss them and to propose practical conclusions about them. The Pastoral Council enhances the process of pastoral planning, developing pastoral programs, improving pastoral services and evaluating the effectiveness of various programs and services, all in the context of prayer and openness to the Holy Spirit. To summarize, a Parish Pastoral Council

• Coordinates pastoral planning • Explores new pastoral programs• Suggests ways to improve pastoral services • Considers the effectiveness of parish programs and services

Above all, a Pastoral Council always considers the common good of the parish. Questions? E-mail us at [email protected]

BAPTISMSWe welcome, through the Sacrament of Baptism, the following children into the Church and our parish family. May God continue to pour out His blessings on the members of these families, that they may continue to grow in faith and love through-out the years.
