Based on the fact that the 3rd Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP3) was held in Kyoto in 1997, 22 members conduct activities to disseminate the importance of the global environment as of December 2017, under the catchphrase “DO YOU KYOTO? (Are you doing something good for the environment?)”. He is a full member of the Kyoto Branch of the Nohgaku Performers' Association and a member of the Kyoto Noh Music Association. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts; Won the First prize at the 5th Kenjun Memorial National Koto Competition; Won the 68th New Artist Award of National Festival of the Agency for Cultural Affairs; A wife of the head of Hongan-ji (Temple).

京都市ジュニアオーケストラ プロフィール  青少年のオーケストラ活動の支援と心豊かになる環境づくりを目的として,京響創立50周年,京都コンサートホール開館10周年を機に2005年に設立。2006年3月「京都市ジュニアオーケストラ デビューコンサート」を開催。10歳から22歳までの京都市在住・通学の青少年を対象に,オーディションにより選抜された約110名で結成される。2008年度からは京都市交響楽団第12代常任指揮者・広上淳一をスーパーヴァイザーに迎えて京響メンバーの真摯な指導のもと成長を続け,その演奏レベルは高く評価されている。(合奏指導:喜古恵理香,鈴木衛)

Kyoto Junior Orchestra ProfileKyoto Junior Orchestra was founded in 2005 on the aim of fulfilling support for young generation in orchestra activities and cultural environment, commemorating the 50th year anniversary of Kyoto Symphony Orchestra and 10th year of Kyoto Concert Hall opening. Starting with “Kyoto Junior Orchestra debut concert” on March in 2006, it has been organized by approximate 110 students in Kyoto, from the age of 10 to 22, chosen by the audition. Under the energetic coaching of Kyoto Symphony Orchestra members and Maestro Junichi Hirokami who has joined as supervisor since 2008, it has kept growing with its performance reputation high.

大谷 麻由美(指揮者)プロフィールMayumi Otani(Conductor)Profile愛媛県生まれ,近畿大学卒業後,社会人生活を経て京都市立芸術大学音楽学部指揮専攻卒業。卒業時に京都市長賞受賞。指揮法を増井信貴,下野竜也,大河内雅彦並びに谷野里香に師事。在学中の2012年にクルトマザーミュージックウィークセミナーに参加,選抜制修了コンサートにて指揮。京都市ジュニアオーケストラの合奏指導を6年間務め,2015年度紀尾井ホール指揮研究員を務めた。現在京都子どもの音楽教室非常勤講師。Mayumi Otani was born in Ehime Prefecture. She graduated from Kindai University. After working for several years, she started to study conducting at Kyoto City University of Arts, and received the Kyoto Mayor’s Award, when she graduated.She has studied conducting with Nobutaka Masui, Tatsuya Shimono and Masahiko Okochi as well as Rika Tanino.In 2012, she participated in the “Kurt Masur Music Week Seminar” in Tokyo. At the conclusion of the seminar, she was given the honor of conducting the first-half of the final concert.She has directed the Kyoto Junior Orchestra for six years. Since September 2015, she has worked at the renowned Kioi Hall in Tokyo as a Conductor-Trainee and has been an understudy to world-class Conductors.

 8月2日~4日の3日間,「京都市友好都市青少年会議」として,京都市の友好都市(姉妹都市及びパートナーシティ)からの留学生と京都市立高等学校(堀川,西京,日吉ケ丘)の生徒が「文化」,「環境」,「グローバル」をテーマに議論しました。同会議では,参加者が各都市の特色を共有・理解しながら,意見交換やフィールドワークを実施し,最終日には課題解決に向けた「行動プラン」を策定し,それらを実践していくことを宣言しました。 本日は,同会議を企画運営した堀川高等学校の生徒や参加した留学生たちが,自分自身の問題として行動するに至った地球環境に対する想いなどを,未来を担う若者の目線で発表します。

International students from friendship cities (sister cities and partner cities) and students from municipal high schools in Kyoto City (Horikawa, Saikyo, Hiyoshigaoka) discussed issues over three days from August 2 to 4 under the themes of culture, environment, and global society. At the conference, the participants exchanged ideas and opinions and carried out field work, as they shared and learned about the different features of each city. On the final day, the participants formulated an “Action Plan” to solve problems and committed to putting solutions into practice. Today, students and international students from Horikawa Senior High School, who organized this conference, will deliver presentations from the perspectives of young people who will lead the future, with a focus on their feelings on the global environment as a result of individual actions.
