The Gladstone Park Chamber of Com-merce welcomes you to our 2nd Annu-al Throwback Music Fest, featuringthe sounds of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80sand 90s.Last year the community helped tomake our inaugural festival a hugesuccess, and as business owners, weare fortunate to have our stores andoffices in such a great neighborhood.Special kudos to 39th Ward AldermanMargaret Laurino and her staff forsupporting the festival and helping usto secure the permits which allow usto shut down Milwaukee Avenue forthree days. Many people thought thecity would never allow the closing ofMilwaukee, but it did last year, and wehad one great party for 3 days!! Thou-sands came each day of the festival. The success of the festival allowedthe chamber to expand our scholar-ship program, which provides tuitionassistance for high school and collegefreshmen. The Gladstone Park Chamber wasfounded 27 years ago and strives tokeep programs current and respon-sive to the demands of the business

climate. In our continuously evolvingmarketplace, the Chamber is a bridgethat links businesses, organizationsand residents together with innova-tive programs that strengthen Glad-stone Park’s long-term economic vi-tality and quality of life. We provideseveral ways for our members to en-hance their credibility, gain recogni-tion, have a voice in issues affectingbusiness, and improve their bottomlines. Netwoking and voluntary aresome of the ways our members par-ticipate in the community and get toknow each other. The Chamber also is proud to havetaken a lead role in creating a MasterPlan to help guide the area’s redevel-opment. The plan was a collaborativeeffort that included input from mer-chants, our elected officials, the cityplanning department, and, most im-portantly, the residents. The Chamberfeels that the recommendations in theplan should guide zoning changes forthe commercial area.If you are not a member, you shouldbe.
