LONDON
Dana de Waal is a singer of exceptional musicianship, warmth, style and character. The startling agility of his voice along with musicality and stamina have delighted audiences in countries as far apart as Bophuthatswana, Germany, Botswana, the Czech Republic, South Africa, and the United States and also in the UK since relocating here more than sixteen years ago.
Accompanied by his wife Anne on the piano and daughter Xephni Butler on the African Djembe, Dana uses this combination to bind together through song, melody, harmony and rhythm, the magic that is undeniably based in their African roots.
This trio makes music across several genres; classical, folk, pop and gospel are all part of the eclectic mix of styles in which they perform. The soul, heart and rhythm of Africa is mixed with the harmony and melodic contour of Western European music.
Sit back and be prepared to be enriched and leave here a different person after their spellbinding performance!

Can you offer just two hours of your time on Saturday 23rd or Sunday 24th of September?
We are looking for kind-hearted people who can help at Ecclesbourne School, The Weston Centre and Duffield Meadows School.
We need volunteers between 8.30 am and 7 pm.
The festival is a not-for profit venture, it is planned over nine months and is put together for the benefit of the Duffield community and its businesses.
You will be working with a great bunch of people and you will get free entry to all day events.
So, if you can help, and offer just two hours of your time, it would be appreciated.
CAN YOU HELP?
