MERRY CHRISTMAS Merry Christmas to you and your family! Whether you are with us every day at Mass, visiting our parish for the first time, or are a member of the parish who we see only occasionally, we welcome you and are happy you joined us for our Christmas Mass. You are always welcome and are always a part of our parish family as together we strive to have the light of Christ Jesus shine in us. I pray you can find some time today and this week to recognize the “reason for the season.” It is proclaimed in the second chapter of Luke’s Gospel: “Do not be afraid, for behold I proclaim to you good news of great joy…For today a Savior is born for you who is Christ the Lord.” Our God of all creation chose to be one among us, not as a full grown, powerful king, but as a helpless infant born in poverty. To appreciate the meaning of Christmas I think we first have to acknowledge that we need a savior. We have to recognize that there are places in our life that are broken and in need of healing. Take some time this week of Christmas to imagine that you are in Bethlehem and in the cold stable with Mary and Joseph as they tend to their new Son. Listen to the Angels as they say to the shepherds “do not be afraid.” Give the Lord praise and homage and honestly tell Him your needs. Christmas is a time for family and friends but most especially a time to rejoice in the Birth of Our Savior. Take a moment this week and imagine being in the cold stable with the baby Jesus. Whisper a quiet prayer to Jesus and tell Him your needs. Allow Jesus, our new born King, to save you. Merry Christmas to you and your Family, Fr. Vince and all the clergy and staff of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish PS...The Christmas collection is an important source of income for our Parish. You are always so generous. Thank you for your continued support.

Confirmation classes for adults in our parish who were never confirmed will begin in January, in preparation for our Parish
Confirmation which we expect will be celebrated by Bishop Sullivan in March. We recognize that for many reasons there are
some Catholics who have been Baptized and made their First
Holy Communion never received the Sacrament of Confirmation. If that is you, or a person you know, do not be
embarrassed, we hope to help you complete your Sacraments of Initiation and allow the Holy Spirit to help you even more in your
life. If you want more information about Adult Confirmation Classes please call Father Adam in the parish office at
856-627-2222.
Holy Spirit, come into our hearts.
Parish News A Christmas Tree Blessing to Pray with your Family
My brothers and sisters, amidst signs and wonders Christ Jesus
was born in Bethlehem of Judea: his birth brings joy to our hearts and enlightenment to our minds. With this tree, decorated and
adorned, may we welcome Christ among us; may its lights guide us to the perfect light.
Lord God,
let your blessing come upon us as we decorate and light this tree. May the light and cheer it gives
be a sign of the joy that fills our hearts. May all who delight in this tree
come to the knowledge and joy of salvation. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
R/. Amen.
