In 1969 Ray & Phyllis left the University in Arizona and went into the computer business headquarted in Iowa. They bought a farm house and in the spring of ’70 Felix went to Iowa for a few weeks to remodel it. It was a standing question each morning when Felix got up “I wonder where Phyllis wants that Franklin stove put today?” She finally did decide on a spot. Felix had lots of help from Steve and Stacy.

On June 16, 1972 Chanda Rae was born in Denver to Colleen Hoff. She and Colleen went to live with Bessie and Felix and she became Grandpa’s constant companion to sit on his lap and read to him or on his shoulders to go down in the pasture to look at the cows. She was his first granddaughter.

Colleen Hoff married David Peters in a lawn wedding at the Hoff home in August 1973. Colleen wore her Grandmother Bosley’s wedding dress that she wore in 1910.
