F EEDWATER CONTROL CENTER Proper feedwater control increases overall plant efficiency and boiler longevity: • Ensuring consistent feedwater temperature and pressure • Maintaining proper oxygen removal at all firing rates • Monitoring water softener and chemical injection processes to maintain proper feedwater chemistry Typical control features include: • Deaerator tank level control • Surge tank level control • Feedwater and transfer pump control; automatic lead lag,pump rotation • Intergrated pump Hand-Off-Auto switches • Modbus, Ethernet, or Bacnet communications • VSD control of feedwater and transfer pumps • Steam pressure control • Condensate and feedwater flow monitoring • Alarm and Event Monitoring • Trending and recording of all points • Water softener monitoring • Make-up water flow and pressure monitoring • Chemical feed pump control The Preferred Feedwater Control Center is based on the proven PWC manufactured by Preferred Instruments in Danbury, CT.
