Folkestone Speaking Up Group

• We now have two computers, one laptop and a projector

• We also have internet access. We have been able to buy this equipment from funding we received from Shepway District Council

SKYPE We have downloaded

SKYPE so that we can communicate for free with other people in different Speaking Up Groups

Campaigning! We have written a letter to Mark Spratt

about providing training for the bus drivers on how to have better communication with people

Campaigning! We have been trying to get a ramp

for wheel chair access to the building we meet in, by talking to the landlord and writing letters to the council

We invited the policeMick Cronin, Community Liaison Officer and Jo, PCSO came because some of us are worried about the problems with school children on the buses

arrangements for the Broker in Shepway, Elvis Cudjoe to come and talk with us; we want to know more about personal budgets

We regularly discuss our human rights, and support each other to be individual and independent.

• We have filled in a questionnaire from the Regional forum about how to support Speaking Up Groups to get stronger
