FedEx Ship Manager Highlights

FedEx Ship Manager Software v.3100 Overview New and improved FedEx Ship Manager Software v.3100 is here to assist you with your shipping requirements. The latest enhancements are sure to give you a faster and more convenient shipping experience.

Enhancement to the FedEx® Electronic Trade Documents serviceFor pre, with, and post shipment uploads, the file size has been increased from 1 MB to 5 MB. You can now use FedEx Electronic Trade Documents to upload your trade documents regardless of whether or not the destination country accepts trade documents electronically. This will aid in clearance. If the destination country requires printed trade documents, you will also be able to print them.

International Ground – New Commercial Invoice and Buyer Field

If you are sending shipments that have been sold, the new International Ground Commercial Invoice will now allow you to separately show the Buyer of the goods.

In most cases the Buyer (or Sold-to-Party) is also the Importer of Record, the party that caused the importation of the shipment and responsible for the payment of any associated duties and taxes. In some cases, the Buyer may be the Consignee or a third party. The new Buyer field in FedEx Ship Manager will allow you to identify the Buyer separately, as applicable.

Defaults have been applied to indicate the Buyer as the Importer of Record, but the defaults can be changed, or the Buyer information updated at time of shipping.

Estimated Delivery Notification brings a new notification option for your FedEx SmartPost® shipments, which triggers an email on the delivery date.

Lithium Batteries special service shipments now allow you to choose an appropriate classification type for your Lithium Batteries, providing increased compliance with dangerous goods regulations.

For further information about classifying your commodities, please refer to http://www.iata.org/publications/dgr/Pages/index. aspx. All Section I Lithium Batteries and cells and all UN3480 and UN3090 batteries and cells must be entered as Dangerous Goods under Special Services.

For shipments sent from Canada to the U.S.,the Buyer field information is required for customs clearance.

This feature is also available for multiple-piece shipments.

Third Party Billing for FedEx SmartPost® offers a new billing option for payers who perform FedEx SmartPost shipments.

You can enable this option for your FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground® and FedEx SmartPost® shipments using the “Require Rates” option.

If enabled and if the resulting rate quote is $0.00 for your "bill sender" payment type shipment, this feature pops up the following alert and stops that shipment.

Recipient Contact Name field can now be added in the Domestic Shipping List.

North American Free Trade Agreement Certificate of Origin (NAFTA COO) Enhancements provide you an option to insert a signature image on the NAFTA certificate of origin trade document.
