This new FECO Bulletin brings us once more a lot of interesting contests for your choice.On the month of May the new FECO Board will be announced; four years seems a long time, when I remem-ber my beginning as PG, but now it´s over, what not means that I will disappear from the FECO scene, I don´tdisappear so easily. I invite you to give a look to our new section in FECO´s website: “Women´s gallery”. My female colleagueswish to introduce themselves with some cartoons, their CV and a reflection on our work as cartoonists. Thisgallery is open for all women cartoonists and perhaps sometimes we could do a big meeting with all of us…,together with our male colleagues, of course.

The world of the gag cartoon and the editorial cartoonis, essentially, still a male domain. Since we believethat this is a cultural rather than biological phenome-non we are convinced that by and by there will bemore women devoting themselves to this beautiful andhonorable activity.

One kind of promoting this project is the support of new ways.

This gallery is intended to offer a proper place for women cartoonists all over the world to show their graphictalents, to become known, to share ideas, ideals and problems so as to break down barriers and get known. Thisdoes not mean putting us in line with our male colleagues nor setting up parallel paths – FECO´s website is opento all male and female colleagues worldwide. It just means creating another branch within the interesting andmany-sided world of the internet as well as appealing to those talented women artists who perhaps still doubttheir abilities and encouraging them to join us.
